My boyfriend and I ordered takeout from Fabs last night. This was our first time trying this kind of African food and we absolutely loved it! We especially loved the egusi and jollof rice, but also the buka stew with okra was a close second favorite! We will definitely get food from here again–I can’t wait to try the other soups and stews!

Wow, this is some of the best African food I have ever had! It is great for those who are a bit unfamiliar with the cuisine, too. They offer many soul food items and have a diverse menu, so you’ll surely find something that satisfies your tastebuds. I tried the puff puff, meat pie, jollof rice (side portion), and fried plantains. I initially ordered the Mac n cheese but they were out of it. Well, this was still an incredible meal.

Food is too greasy to consume. I ordered smothered chicken. The gravy used for mashed potatoes and chicken is so oily that you lose the flavor of the actual dish. Couldn’t eat, so I tossed it. Green beans were good. I ordered plaintains and meat pie, which I haven’t tasted yet. I doubt I will. My stomach is in knots right now.

Fabs ia fabulous!!Very impressed with food and portion size. We got egusi soup, pounded yam, edikaikong soup and they even offer oat fufu which is a good option. We also ordered puff puff. Everything was fresh! And the price was very reasonable. We will be back. Thank you the well prepared and presented food

Food is freshly made everyday. We Love the African food! They have the BEST African food I’ve tasted in the states, NO kidding!! Prices are reasonable and they will make just about anything requested (If food is available). Great staff! Have tried the Egusi with Fufu, Goat Stew, Mac and cheese, Beef Shaya, Vegetable Stew. No complaints! Can’t wait to try more items!

I tried this place for the first time and as an African myself (Nigerian) I was pleased with the food. It has flavor, the portion sizes were good and the food was packaged/presented well. I had been hesitant to come here because of the lack of vast reviews, but I’m glad I came! Minus some pricey menu items and catching a cook not wearing gloves during packing my food, I’d say I’m happy I gave this place a try.

I’m from West Africa. Ever since I discovered them last year, I have eaten from there every month. Their portions are huge and good! Their portion last a while too, I eat big and I don’t even finish the portion size in one sitting! Its filling and very good! Their food is quite tasty! The best African Restaurant in Pittsburgh hands down. Its way better than the popular one in town! This is the best place to order from.

We walk past this restaurant all the time when we take our dog on a walk. Well we finally decided to try it for a quick, takeout dinner and it was amazing! I got the beef suya which was tasty and my boyfriend got the smothered chicken. I am loving the smothered chicken, so much I kept eating his food. When I go back, definitely getting the smothered chicken! Oh, and the pricing for this food was totally reasonable and the quantity you get is great. I definitely am recommending this place to anyone and everyone!
