First time here and was not disappointed. We were out for a drive and decided to stop in. Delicious food, big portions, good prices, and great service!! The tossing of the rolls was fun! We had a coupon for half of potato skins, they were also good. I swapped out my sides for gumbo and it was delicious. I definitely recommend eating here.

First visit to this restaurant home of the throwed rolls. Yes, the rolls are absolutely delicious. We went on Tuesday around 5:30 there was a small line but moved fairly quickly. The service and the food was great! The live music added the perfect backdrop to the atmosphere.

Neat and popular place to stop. Not sure if our waiter was having an off day but his beginning with us was sarcastic. Every question we asked was answered with a snappy answer and not helpful when deciding what to order. I didn’t get that from the other staff so we can only assume it was the waiter and not part of their “service”. Food was fairly good the fried chicken was not seasoned and tasted bland. The chicken fried steak tasted food but was tuff. The beef tips and Crispy Cow Patty were both good. Didn’t have dessert as the waiter just dropped off our bill and didn’t ask. With a different waiter visit might have been better.

I’ve been a food server for many years at several different places, I’ve ate out at a million places but what I’ve never seen was a $3.00 charge for an extra plate! I’ve always shared my meal with my daughter because after rolls and an appetizer we can only eat about a half an entree! If I would have known I would have just said she wasn’t eating and I would have let her eat off my plate! Our server was great and food was just okay. Would never eat here again

This was our first time eating here and it was nice. I especially enjoyed the live music and the servers throwing the bread was a special treat. I ordered the fried shrimp platter and it was a good size serving. The batter lacked a little flavor but the fries were seasoned well. My husband ordered the catfish platter and he thought the batter could have more flavor as well. I plan to revisit and order something a little different next time.

Fresh buns/rolls are thrown in the air/at you if you gesture you want one (good luck catching!) – and they’re hot, super soft, and a perfect complement to BUTTER. We sat in a very long line at 7PM on Friday but cut ahead to sit at the empty bar and ordered and had drinks/food in under 10 minutes. Most had kids or giant parties of people with, and with a party of two we were fine to be at the bar. Super nice bartender who was doing double duty. Many empty tables while the hostess was not sitting the vast quantity of patrons in line. You could see other staff bickering either about each other or customers, and loudly. Our food wasn’t spectacular. We split the catfish meal with DRY shriveled hush puppies, not as dry but still very dry catfish with an overly salty crust, coleslaw, steak fries. Most drinks are $10+/piece. Had $6.99 reg Marg. Had a timeshare peddler at door, adjacent to folks in line for restaurant. I think there was live music but hard to spot singer. Different, kid-friendly atmosphere but even with the yummy buns, I didn’t find this place worth the money or returning to. Nominal cash discount.
