Joe Falone has great meat!! Not talking about the running pics on Facebook. I’m talking about the fresh sliced meat his family has been serving on their cheesesteaks since 1952. This is one of the cheesesteaks that doesn’t need the extras. Yes Tom I am talking about the lettuce and tomato. Great meat! I wish it was on a less bready roll and the cheese was melted in better.

This is the Falones from Southwest Philly on Elmwood Ave and the hoagies are still made the same way from back in the day, so for a trip down memory lane that’ll keep your mouth salivating for some Jewish pickle on your ham and cheese hoagie stop in and have taste of the good old days. I was really hesitant to try this place after seeing one bad review out of the rest of the good ones but after trying it I was really impressed. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious. I travel to diff states so I like trying new things and I’m glad I stopped by. I’m picky about food and love a LOT of flavor. Not only did the sandwich have a lot of flavor but the fries caught me off guard because they weren’t plain like most places. It had a lot of flavor as well. Definitely coming back here. Don’t always judge a place by one negative review when most are good. I’m glad I gave it a chance because it was well worth it! Even the employees were extremely friendly and welcoming. A lot of places are usually rude so that adds to the good service! Keep up the good work guys!

We ordered delivery from Falone’s via uber eats so I can’t say anything about the restaurant itself. However, their wood fired pizza, salad, turkey club, and cheese stakes were very good. Definitely going to remember this place next time we come to Philadelphia.

I’m only given them one star because I had to,I ordered a cheese steak & fries from here and the steak was not chopped up it was chewy like bubble gum & barely done. The fries was cooked in burnt grease,all I could taste was burnt grease like it haven’t been changed in months.The girl at the register look like she was real high off some type drug & the cooks didn’t look to normal either the whole store was a mess…I was thinking twice about eating from there the whole time I was waiting for my food..Also they let a junkie reach all behind the counter to grab something,I was just done with the whole store.Oh & they didn’t give me any napkins with my food,this place really need to be shut down or taken over by new employees

We went there based on a recommendation from our neighbor and they did not disappoint. We got pizza, wings, broccoli bites and nuggets and they were all top notch! The wings were very good and I don’t say that about a lot of places. My relatives from northern NJ approved of the pizza and that means a lot coming from them because they think the pizza around here is nowhere near as good as up near NYC.

Usually this place is tops in service and their Italian Hoagies are Great! However, today’s visit was lacking. One of the owners was teaching a young man how to work the register “and” make sandwiches. This would have been cool except, the young man was not instructed to wear gloves when making the orders. You can’t make sandwiches when you leave the register after handling money without changing into gloves. This is the first time I’ve seen this happen and I hope I don’t see it again or this will be the last time I purchase anything from them.
