The service was horrible. We got our orders and they were not even close to what we ordered. The menu was a temporary menu, but did not have any descriptions of what the items came with or what they were. The portions of cheese curds we ordered were completely different my date had half what I had. There appeared to be a cook behind the bar area doing shots in a wife beater. Very classy joint if you want your service to be miserable. The only thing good, was the food tasted great. That was it. Our waitress seemed to be bothered that we were her table. I would not recommend this place at all, you’d get better service at Mc. Donald’s for half the price.

I was visiting Pine Mountain recently. I thought it would be a nice place to have some lunch. It wasn’t busy at all when I went in. There was 2 other tables besides mine so it was mostly empty .I got a menu and the first thing I noticed was the price. $18 for a pulled pork sandwich, $19 for a burger is a little high but whatever. I was hungry and if it’s good, fine. Well, it was not good. I got the pulled pork. The pork was dry, and it looked like it had been out for a while. The fries were cold. I don’t mind paying a higher price for quality food but this was not it. Wholeheartedly would not recommend.

Generally I have been underwhelmed with Famer’s offerings. Staff are hit and miss and I’ve had some awful experiences with wait staff. Food is usually good but the only phenomenal thing I’ve had here is their cheesecake. Their food is good, but more expensive than what I personally feel it’s worth. Okay, but just not fabulous.

Nice place with good food next to a ski resort/ski jump

I’ve enjoyed this place before.. But, Our group of 7 committed the unforgivable sin of asking to slide a couple tables together. They allowed it, but rewarded us with never coming to our table. Not for water, not for drinks.. not to say sorry about the long wait. Many tables that arrived after us got served multiple times while we waited. I’m generally not a conspiracy theorist but it felt intentional. We ended up leaving after 45 minutes with zero service. They seemed understaffed, but a packed bar downtown had us eating in 15 minutes. They must do something right to attract enough staff. Famers could take a lesson. Cool location and atmosphere though. Maybe next time!

Rhi at the restaurant bar was great and so were the other co-workers on perhaps their busiest day if the year, ski jumps weekend. It appears they have. Anrw food and beverage director, so I anticipate everything improving a notch from where it was a year or two ago. All in all, Famers has always been a fun place to grab a bite to eat and a drink in Iron Mountain any time of year

We were five senior ladies out for lunch, 2 had the special (1/2 chicken salad sandwich on rye + chicken soup), the bread was so dry they toasted it which made it tough & hard to bite. Two had egg salad sandwich w/ fries, one on marble rye & one on sour dough…every one with bread (thick sliced) was so stale & dry (naked), the egg salad didn’t have enough mayo & not enough egg to go on 1/2 half sandwich let alone a full sandwich. One lady had a plain Ceasar salad it was delicious. The wait staff were attentive & pleasant, the prices were reasonable. It will be a while before we return for lunch.

The service was great, but that’s all I can really say. Dinner was collectively, between our party of 10, wasn’t great. Burger I ordered was very dry and over cooked, French onion soup was okay but strangely spicy. Breakfast wasn’t bad, but left a lot to be desired.

Waited two hours just to get our drinks and food yesterday afternoon. Bought a $9 grilled cheese for my daughter, she did not want to touch it. I was there with a party of 8, and about half the people sent their food back. we go there less and less but this was the icing on the cake. We love going on the ski hill, but will not be stopping in to get food at famers anymore.
