The wait for my appetizer and main course was ridiculous. It was a little over an hour wait after waiting for quite some time place my order. Orders were so backed up that I received my appetizer and main course at the same time. The rib tips that I waited for were average though the hamburgers my children ordered were very good according to them. The waitress was very kind and apologetic, but I do not foresee visiting this restaurant again.

First off I don’t even believe I should give a star at all ! I have never seen such a poorly run restaurant in my life! Waited 35 minutes to get a table, although there were empty tables. Was told they didn’t want to seat us because the kitchen was backed up. I observed the bus boy walk past dirty tables at least 6 times and go get himself something to drink, That should have been my first clue! 20 minutes to get a drink ordered, 15 minutes to get the drink, 45 more minutes to get our ice cold dried out food! ( My pregnant daughter and son in law took both myself and his Mother out for a Valentine’s Dinner) My rib tips were not even capable of being being chewed, and all of our food was ice cold except the corn bread muffins . By this time we’re starving, my pregnant daughter tried to eat her chicken which was dried out and cold, but stopped after a few bites. Was able to speak to a Manager, who talked us into bringing us new food. Although by this time my pregnant daughter was exhausted and wanted to get out of there. Only brought myself and my son in law new food. His Mother ate the middle of her burnt burger, and had lost her appetite. My daughter and Son in law were devastated as to where they took us. As I observed the Sam bus boy scratching his head constantly as he walked through the dining area !!! (gross) I’ve seen sea turtles move faster than some of the staff in there! The second plates of food, looked better, we’re room temperature but by then I couldn’t eat! They double charged our bill and by now I am extremely aggravated and walked out as my daughter called a manager over. As I am walking out Mr busboy is standing by the front door podium scratching his head like crazy!! What in the World is wrong with this restaurant?

My go to BBQ spot! love the food and environment, staff has always been friendly and welcoming and provide good service. Was here a few weeks back with the family we chowed down on the family feast, ribs are always good but the brisket is a very close second for my favorite meat choice when dining here, that’s why I love that I can get both and more with the feast option

The food here was not really good, never had ribs I had to rip off the bone really hard. Everything tasted like they heated it in a microwave and brought it out. The service was really slow for not many people there. I should have known when every restaurant next to this place was packed at 6 pm on a Friday night and famous daves parking lot was a 1/3 full. The floor in the dining room was very sticky (and loud with each step from the stickiness). The floor in the women’s restroom was dry but very slippery, and looked filthy. Our order was delayed for every reason imaginable, and then was not served the way we had ordered it. Our waitress was absent for most of our visit, and absent minded when she was present. This was our first and last experience at this Famous Dave’s. We’ve never had a bad FD experience before. Even more dissapointing is that a manager never came by (we were there for 90 minutes so they had plenty of time and opportunity) to see how we are doing, to let us know that they would be taking anything off of our bill (the waitress took off the two ice teas, but they weren’t the problem), and this only compounds our disdain for the Kenosha Famous Dave’s.
