I loved everything about Fran and Johnny’s from the food, service the atmosphere. The catfish and grilled broccoli are delicious. The bread pudding was to die for. The best I have ever eaten.

Service was great. Waitresses stayed on top of everything. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. Chicken had a good crisp to it. It was thick. I felt like there could have been more flavor added to the chicken. The Angel hair Alfredo was excellent. The diner could really use some updates. My table wasn’t level, and the chairs are uncomfortable. Nothing matched, and most chairs and booths looked uncomfortable. Everything felt dated. It kinda dampened everything and made appreciate the experience less.

This place was a great respite from our long drive to Mississippi. We went in with only the reviews as our guide and left thinking “that was the best duck and cheese ravioli we have ever had.”

Delightful, creative, with a diverse menu. This place is also pretty easily adaptable for keto. The blackened cauliflower we had was excellent as was the alligator. The crab bisque is well worth trying as well. While I dont usually add this, their unsweet tea (I know a sin in the south, and for what it’s worth they DO offer sweet of course) was fresh and brewed perfectly. Service was friendly, and despite our arriving 5 minutes before closing, we were treated amazingly and not made to feel rushed at all. This place has apparently been nominated and won several accolades from what I was told by the mayor, who recommended the place, and I see why.

Great experience! Visiting some childhood stomping grounds from Ft. Lauderdale and was recommended. Menu offered authentic southern cuisine that was allergy sensitive and made me a happy diner! I enjoyed the fried oyster risotto so much I forgot to document! Big thanks to the lovely gentleman by the Viking HQ . Hoping to visit before heading back to Florida!

In my opinion this is the best restaurant in the delta, if it were to go away there would be no desirable place to experience delicious food in the area. If your in the surrounding area do yourself a favor and stop by. A outstanding chef and menu that is a metropolitan grade cuisine in the delta. Every attention to culinary detail is executed here that more expensive establishments miss.

I do not recommend this establishment. The food service was slow and so were the water refills. We are visiting Greenwood for the first time and wanted to try one of the local eateries. This place came highly recommended but fell short of the high praises. I had the tenderloin with asparagus and spinach in a pesto sauce. Please look at the picture…I cut the tenderloin hoping it would be medium rare…it was not. It was so overcooked and dry, that I didn’t finish it. I was given 4 overcooked pieces of asparagus and a fork full of spinach that was swimming in a pesto oil mixture. The presentation was trash! My guest had a ribeye that was also overcooked, the entree was supposed to come with steak fries. The fries were like shoestring fries but without the seasoning. A rather oblivious waitress offered water to the table across from us but seemed offended when I asked for a refill. I mean really offended.

At the heart of the historic town of Greenwood, MS on the south side of the Yazoo River tucked away in one of the historic buildings is a quintessential example of “made in-house” cuisine. The restaurant’s ambience is a mesh of historic and vintage call quintessential Mississippi yet modern and clean. I decided on the Nashville Hot Chicken Po’ Boy, always choose the Po’ Boy option for the bread as it’s a Gambino style French bread (New Orlean’s style), not the bun option (NOT featured). The chicken was tender and flavorful still managing to be crispy while covered in a buffalo sauce so rich it leaves a glorious butter film on my lips which heat is cut by ranch dressing, equally as fatty, but contrasts so beautifully as it’s cool and refreshing very herbaceous. Just when you think this sandwich is too heavy they give you the largest homemade pickle quarter that is strong in vinegar and dill which contrasts well with a high fat content of the Buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. The generous portion of french fries are seasoned well almost creole style and cooked crispy.
