Fantini’s ‘New Haven Style’ Apizza Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar Menu – Stuart, FL

Type : Restaurant

Location : Stuart, FL

The Story…
When I was 15 I got hired as a dishwasher at the most famous Pizzeria in New Haven, Connecticut. I loved Apizza and I loved my job there. I moved up learning every position to finally earning the Pizza Man position. I learned from the “old school” pros the “old School” way. Making Apizza (you know how to pronounce it) is a talent; it’s a “thing”. It’s not a fast food franchise; it’s not something made by a machine and mass produced. It’s about making a superior product and creating memories for people as they enjoy it. I brought this talent to South Florida for our community to experience. Come in and I’ll take you back to Wooster Street circa 1980 where I am making it, and serving exactly as I learned it..the Old School way.

Heard about this place from a friend. I was so excited to try their pizza. I went in with a very open mind. I ordered a large “works” pizza for pick up. It was ready when I got there. I got it home. The crust was burnt and hard. The pie itself was thin and chewy. The toppings on it were no better than any other pizza place. Very disappointed for a large pizza that cost $34. Domino’s has a hand made pan pizza that is so much better than this and costs much less.

This restaurant is such a gem. This is probably some of the best Italian food in town. The pizza allá vodka with prosciutto was exquisite and the garlic bread parmigiana was phenomenal. This is some of the best local pizza I have had and I will definitely be going back for more. The service was great and everyone is extremely friendly. Highly recommended!

As a West Haven native I can confirm that this place is legit! (Zuppardi’s APizza in West Haven is my favorite.) Fantini’s is incredible! It definitely lives up to the New Haven “ah-beetz” name. Just WOW! I had White Birch Foxon Park and my hubs had IPA. We killed 2 smalls, a Jimmy’s and Grandma’s and we got a cannoli and cheesecake to-go. So so so good, can’t say enough! (A little warm in the dining room, but it’s July in Florida.)

This is New Haven apizza at its finest outside of CT! This is very thin crust pizza that is with the finest ingredients. Don’t expect a NY or Chicago style. For the reviews that complain it’s burnt, don’t pay attention. I suggest a plain cheese for your first time. I don’t have extra toppings as they weigh down the crispness. Try it you will like it! They also have a white clam pizza which is delicious too!

Good flavor, nice thin crust pizza. The large was a little on the smaller size it seemed. They were really busy so service was on alittle slow but that was understandable due to how packed they were.

Went by location once and waited but after 40 mins and multiple walk-ins being sat ahead of us we left but vowed to return. It was obvious the place was struggling to manage it’s success but we thought food must be fantastic. Upon return attempt we thought let’s pick their signature items and do take out. Stunning failure. No garlic on garlic bread and pizza so overcooked we tossed away. I’m certain many people enjoy this establishment, however we won’t be one of them.

If you’re from New Haven, CT or the tri-state area this is a must try. 100% reminds me of home. The pizza is unbelievable. Service was fantastic and one of the hidden gems of this place is the Foxon Park soda. Took me back to being kid have a slice and a soda. Heaven.

We travel a little over an hour to get to Fantini’s, and it’s so worth it. This pizza is New Haven to a T with its crispy, charred crust. I have a slight addiction to the Ester’s Eggplant pizza, pictured. We also had the antipasto and caprese as appetizers, and shared the tiramisu for dessert. Stacie was out server, and she couldn’t be sweeter. Love this place.
