Whether you want to come in for lunch or dinner, we believe that a good family atmosphere with good quality food at reasonable prices with good service is what is expected. This is what we strive to achieve each day and we are constantly making strides towards that end. The restaurant has been a fixture in Sacramento since 1961 and has been through many families’ hands since. All of these families have poured their hearts and souls into the restaurant and their customers. The new families that took over the restaurant in March 2018 have kept this to heart.

My family has been eating here over 30 years. There’s been many changes over years–ups and downs. We had a great family meal here a month ago. The food was great and our server was very kind and attentive. When I’m in town, this is the place i want to meet my family. We get our favorites and try something new.

With the new normal of learning to live with COVID still a main concern, Far East is going above and beyond to give us a sense of normalcy with the ability to eat out again. Although I miss having the use of real dishes and flatware to eat on, they take the extra precaution of serving their delicious food in disposable ware. No matter, missed their food and having the ability to sit down at their very clean tables, disinfected with bleach as well as the mopping of their floors with bleach after every customer gives me the sense that they are doing all they can to provide a safe and COVID free environment.

OG Cantonese style eats. Not glamorous. Not showy. Gonna satisfy you though. Good wok hay. You never leave hungry. They’ll also cook those lesser known Canto dishes that aren’t on the menu, because they know. Delish.

Excellent food, both authentic Chinese and Americanized versions. It can be loud but the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Their lunch specials are plentiful and good (a bit Americanized).

Place has fast service, tasty food, and decent prices. Parking is usually good in front or on the side lot. Also, you may recognize some of the waiters from Regent restaurant which closed in the pocket area. Service is fast and friendly. Always great for either eat-in or take-home.
