I will start by saying that the prices are very high, some dishes were good but not that good for the price, specially for the portion size.

4/8/23 5:45pm- I’ve always been curious about this place and was not disappointed. We had 2 cucumber lemonades, falafel sandwich, lamb shawarma sandwich, manoush jibneh, and a slice of pistachio cake to go. Total with tax $83.22. If you’re on a budget yes skip but if you’re like us wanting to try new things then stop by.

Amazing Arabic/Halal food. We were visiting McAllen during a weekend and saw this restaurant that had good reviews on Google, so we decided to give it a try. Since we just had breakfast, ordered the food to go. Overall, the experience was really good, the staff is very friendly and happy to help you decide what to order so you can get the most out of it. We got hummus, baba ghannouj, muhammara, yalanji, curry chicken (which came with a delicious Jazmine rice), mano’oush za’atar, tabbouleh and some extra pita bread to eat during the next days, every single item was extremely good. Also while we were waiting for our order to come, we got some coffee which had a very interesting flavor, it was strong, a bit spicy (probably it contains some cloves) and warm, enjoyed it a lot. I’m glad that they also offer vegetarian and vegan options.

First time here visiting from California, this place was a suggestion from Google Maps and it was incredible in Food, we met the Chef in person who was very friendly and his food was very good, also the waitress was absolutely attentive and very friendly, the place was very comfortable and clean, the portions were very good, the prices were very affordable.

Really appreciate the food and great service! A+, excellent waiter and very tasty chicken and hummus. Our server is usually Mohamed and his level of service and kindness is one of the reasons we like to return frequently. The hummus is excellent, the pitas are fresh and hot, the oils they use are wonderful, and the shawarma is also very good, they can customize it for you “a little” and we added some sort of feta crumble cheese and garlic which went great.

Definitely recommend Baklawa with coffee. The palmyra chicken was great, perfect combination of a crusty outside and seasoning as well as tenderness on the inside. Definitely going to come back. The customer attention was great and everyone was very friendly.

I had the falafel sandwich and pita with muhammara. The food was excellent! The only issue was that the food didn’t come out together so I had to wait a bit for my brother’s and dad’s food to come out. Other than that, everything was great; the server was very friendly and the ambiance was pleasant. Will definitely be coming back after Lent to try the meat dishes!

If you want authentic Arabic cuisine this is the place to come too! You can see and hear the pride in their voices as they explain the menu to you. They make the food from scratch daily and recipes are from family. It was our first time here and they made us feel so welcome. It is pricey, expect to pay for the service and quality you are getting. You can look at their menu online before coming so you know what to expect, but it sure is worth a try!

Good quality food, but the protei portion of my $28 kebab plate was sadly small, it had great flavor and was correctly prepared. But the portion was small, like they got wrong my order or something because the rest of the plates served had good portions of protein. The Humus was great and their dessert also was good. The service is lower than average in quality. Would visit again but would ask first about the portion on their menu selections.
