Best chicken around! They’ve extended their hours and now accept card payment to allow for everyone to come fill their bellies! And they have the soft ice that everyone dreams of! R & A, the new owners are continuing the great work! Not to mention that last week, I took way longer to run an errand and was late picking up and they remade my fries without me even asking, to give me fresh and hot fries!

Best deal on quick food you’ll get around. Double burgers for $3.25, and unlike all the fast food chains, the sandwich is actually stacked right instead of just slopped together. The fried mushrooms are fire, and so is the okra. I tried the gizzards, but they were a tiny bit overdone, so the meat was tough and chewy, but the breading flavor was on point. It’s hard to get gizzards just right, so I give them a pass on that one. Especially since the dark meat and light meat chicken boxes are top-notch

First time visiting as I went with friends that grew up in the Alton area…and let me tell you…this chicken is DELICIOUS! Crispy just like I like it…sooo yummy Little place that packs a punch! I had crinkle cut fries and also ordered a side of mozzarella cheese sticks…both crispy and crunchy, perfect for my preference…will make a point to go here again when I hit downtown Alton for a day of FUN!

Food served under 5 mins .. fresh.. and cheap ! I will definitely return. Phone customer service and in person customer service is superb. Window service/ to go orders only. It’s cheaper to pay with cash than with card.

The fried chicken is incredible but the magic happens for me when I add salt pepper hot sauce and ketchup you can basically just put all that in the white meat box and just go to town, it hits differnt and makes it taste entirely unique, the salt and pepper I feel like really bring out the flavor the chickens meant to have almost like they removed some of it, but it makes it some of the best chicken I’ve had, Defintly a family favorite for years.

Not the best experience at all! I don’t normally leave reviews but I had to on this one. Gizzards were not edible! Extremely tough and chewy, didn’t look done inside. Other good May be amazing but the gizzards are not it!

Love their chicken !!!! Actually everything is great and fast service. Only problem is they close to early. Work all day and crave their children, only to see they closed at 5 . Bummer!! Great food, and memories growing up with the big chicken sign outside.
