Came in for a lunch break, quick and delicious! Highly recommend what I tried (on the recommendation of the cashier at the counter): the Cajun chicken cordon bleu!

Went for lunch around 1140ish and they were slammed. Cranked quite a few sandwiches and salads out with only a small wait. The French Dip sandwich was tasty – the bread dunked in the sauce especially – but even with all the cheese and dunking it, the meat was too dry. Overall really good flavor, I would just request half the cheese and hope for a better scoop of meat. The Cajun Potato Salad was flavorful too, but the baby food consistency is not for me. I’d pass considering it’s an upcharge. They offer a large variety of cheesecake. The toffee slice was good but not as creamy and decadent as I was hoping for. My friend ordered their Cajun sandwich and was pleased with the spice.

I enjoyed the Deli Supreme Poyboy. Wow what sandwich!! Took two hands to start. The red beans and rice were extremely tasty. The ladies were great and when you walk in they were quick to suggest something from the menu and the days special.

This is one of my favorite places to eat! It’s one of those spots that locals only know about but is honestly one of the best places to eat in town! The bread pudding is the absolute best I’ve ever had! I would highly recommend them!

Really delicious. Homemade bread, well made sandwiches. It’s just a shame that their prices have increased so much over the years. 3 years ago, the #1 was 8.59. 1 year ago, 12.79. This year, 14.99 (these prices were pulled from Google review photos). I know inflation is crazy, but those price hikes seem exorbitant, particularly because of the humble location and counter service.

Went for lunch and there was no wait. It’s small inside so you may or may not be able to enjoy your meal at one of the tables, but there is seating outside behind the building. We had paw paw’s pb&j which comes grilled, muffaleta melt, and Cajun Cobb. Listen…that salad was lunch AND dinner! Somehow my husband finished his sandwich and while he enjoyed it, he said it was nothing like the muffaletta we shared in the French quarter ( ‍♀️). He doesn’t even like olives. He demolished that sandwich, you hear me?! I love me a good salad, and this Cobb didn’t disappoint! You can also drive through for service. It’s probably my new favorite spot!

Gotta love Fat Tuesday’s! We’ve been a few times and it’s great but we’d never had any of the cold sandwiches so today we had the shrimp remoulade poboy. Actually we split it and had Cajun potato salad and the cole slaw. Excellent!

This was a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant to eat at. I came for chicken spaghetti and found it was only a Tuesday special. So, I ordered a salad that the cashier recommended and it was really good. It is a smaller restaurant, every table was full when I was there, and the atmosphere is busy. The wait was average. The salad and drink came out to $20, but it was loaded. It is connected with a Discount Tobacco store and parking is tight. However, the service and food were awesome and I will come again!!

Food was delicious and worth the visit. Unfortunately a small location with minimal seating. We hit rush hour so the wait was longer than usual. Nonetheless, the food was worth it! Try their desserts!

What more could you ask for in a local restaurant around Christmastime than rum raisin eggnog bread pudding? The French Dip with au jus and Cajun potatoes, which is a well-seasoned whipped cold side, makes other sub sandwiches with a side of potato salad an embarrassing miss. The cheese, (the menu said mozzarella), is high quality. Their baked-fresh-daily hoagie is crisp, without any remnant of the plastic packaged stuff you bought on your last bread run. Orders taken at the counter and they have a drive-thru window. The dining room is no frills but the food is a serious reminder of what comfort and care tastes like. Only one turn off of Barksdale Blvd, but worth any haul. Anytime I’m in Shreveport, Louisiana, I grab to-go from Fat Tuesdays!
