This restaurant is right by the water and it gave the feeling of being on vacation. I picked it randomly after a trip to a beach nearby, we sat outdoors so we could see the water. Service was friendly and food was delicious my picky eaters loved it. The prices are high, however I went there expecting that it would be, because seafood prices are high anywhere (for 3 people $143.21 including 15% tip) I got a fisherman’s platter, my son got a hot lobster roll and my daughter got crab cakes)

Fat Tuna is the perfect spot for summer in New England. It’s right on the water and has a large bar that offers seats inside and on the patio. I admit I only had the calamari but it was fresh and fried perfectly so I enjoyed it very much. The staff and owner are very fun and pleasant. The cocktails are fantastic; ask for a mud slide, they seem to be everyone’s favorite including one of their bar tenders!

10/10 experience. the decor is so cute & beachy. We were greeted by the host & were seated at a table by the window. Our server, Angelina was truly wonderful! I got the lobster ravioli as my entree and it was so delicious, my ravioli was even topped with pieces of lobster! I would recommend this place to anyone for any occasion!

First time visiting. Absolutely beautiful place. Raw bar was awesome. Service was absolutely horrible. We were never given a food menu, we had to ask the people sitting next to us for their menu. We sat at the bar and had to flag down bartenders to get service. Our empty cups sat there and we were completely ignored. Had to ask the raw bar attendant to get a bartender to serve us. Then when we received our checks and had our credit card ready to pay again had to get the raw bar attendant to grab a bartender. Your bartenders need to be trained as to how to be attentive to customers. So sad for such a nice place.

This is a very nice seafood restaurant in Waterford, CT, with a nice view of the Niantic River. I attended with a party of 8 (including two kids) for a birthday celebration. The staff was very accommodating with the kids. The menu had a nice selection of entrees and appetizers. I enjoyed a lobster roll and some raw oysters. Fat Tuna has a fairly extensive wine list and serves local craft beers as well. There is a send floor deck that wasn’t open that night. If I’m in the neighborhood again, I’d consider a return visit.
