Check this place out! Right around the corner from the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend and it is dang good! There is seating outside to enjoy on those cool summer nights. The food is simply delicious. We had the chicken sandwich and the hamburger and we rave about it, hot, juicy, and very tasty. Their sides are also very good. We had the mac and cheese and cole slaw…all I can say is that they both had so much flavor. The two bartenders we engaged with were friendly, patient, and simply put—fun! Mike was our guy and we really enjoyed his conversation. Go to this joint. You won’t be disappointed!

We went in on a Monday for a late lunch/early dinner. Our server was the best thing about the place. She was extremely friendly and helpful. She made sure our bill had the entree removed and also didn’t charge for the two Diet Cokes.

the pickles they put in their sandwiches and burgers are THICK. All the sides have a heavy southern influence and might not be exactly what you are expecting, but they are good none the less! i would heavily recommend getting a chicken sandwich, everyone at the table wished they had ordered one after trying a bite

Absolutely the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. Chicken was tasty. Waffles were crispy outside and tender and fluffy inside with a spicy maple syrup but by far the best bite came from the watermelon it came with. Infused with sweet tea and champagne and awesomeness. The waitress was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. It’s a shame we live 2½ hrs away as we just stopped in for dinner on our way home up to Grand Rapids from Tennessee but we will have to remember to stop in again when we’re in the area.

I’ve been here a few times and have always received great service, tasty food, and wonderful drinks. The last time I was there with my sisters, they weren’t incredibly busy so the bartender made me a smoky mezcal old fashioned, and it was phenomenal! The service here really has been some of the best I’ve received at any restaurant.

For a while now, I’ve heard about how good this place was. Finally, I had the opportunity to try it and it did not disappoint. Everything is super delicious and bursting with flavor. It might not be the healthiest meal of your week but it will definitely be one of the best. I was particularly surprised at how much I enjoyed the addition of salami to the Cuban sandwich. It adds a little kick that really works. I will definitely be back in the future.

So happy we stopped here! The best part? All of our food was delicious. It tasted fresh and had a homemade feel to it. We got fried chicken, mac & cheese, Cuban sandwich, potato salad, baked beans, jambalaya, mashed potatoes and the waffles/chicken/watermelon dishes. Each dish came with a side and there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. I also enjoyed my peach tea and our waitress was so nice. The worst part? Honestly, can’t add much. They didn’t have a parking lot it we found street parking not too far. Stop by if you can! No breakfast by the way.
