This place is a hidden gem!! The food was perfectly seasoned & the portions are generous for the price. The crab fries were hitting & the French toast is a must order. The beignets are like pillows that melt in your mouth. Catfish & grits did not miss at all. The service was great too, friendly & fast. We sat inside but there’s a cute outdoor patio too.

Okay, so for me, the hype was better than the show. My husband and I have heard a lot of things, so we finally decided to try it out. First, who knew you could be charged 10% for a to go order. Is that to ensure you get a tip? Like maybe we didn’t want to eat in, mid afternoon, with a DJ playing loud music, with our child in tow. The next thing was price points. While the seafood was fresh, I’ve had better, which was not as salty and not as expensive. $75 for 3 people, including the 10% to go fee, yeah, won’t be doing that again. The collards were more stems than greens, and my husband’s wings were undercooked. He had to put them in the air fryer when we got home, so they would stop jiggling. My shrimp was cooked well, and they were huge. $20 was still high for what I had. Would’ve rather had the seafood Mac, but that was not available on the day we visited. With 10 people working the front, it was a bit chaotic just entering the building. A suggestion would be to separate the cashier from the hostess so multiple things can take place in a more smooth, controlled space, as it is small right at the door. The place all in all is someone’s cup of tea, just not ours. The flower garnish was a cute touch.

This food was so good! Went for a quick brunch passing through town. We sat at the bar so no wait. Drinks were good as was the service, great music.

Decided to go here for lunch and give them a shot. We ordered the crab fries as an app, it was decent, they do get soggy. My wife order fish and grits and I ordered the chicken and waffle. Her grits were clumpy and not flavorful, though presentation was decent. The waffle was average, the wings were pretty good though. The music was a bit loud. Nothing special or nothing that wowed me to make me go back.

Fat Boiz is a must if you are ever in the McDonough, GA area. OMG the food was amazing my family and I were stuffed, they are not stingy on the portions. We had the crab fries (a must try) for appetizer, loaded shrimp potato, oxtails with collards and Mac and cheese, and the catfish and grits, all delicious. Our server was great and the owner Antonio was very personable and friendly. Will sure go back.

Found this place on Google. Despite the negative reviews, we came anyway. It’s located in a store front area, so parking isn’t an issue. Nice atmosphere. Black owned. We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. Took some time for our waitress to come. She kept forgetting things, and It was a little irritating. I appreciate the other staff asking if everything was ok. Not sure what she was doing because the place was just about empty. We even had to ask for her to get our bill. However, the food was really good! We started with the strawberry beignet. They were SO good! Fresh and tasty. I got the vegan burger w/greens and mac & cheese. It was good, but I wish It included a pickle on the side. My greens were cold on top, but the mac was steamming hot. My spouse got the regular burger cooked medium well and crab fries. He said the burger was good and juicy. He gave the crab fries a 9/10. We will definitely come again, but we’ll do carryout.

Crab fries were good but very small portion for the price. They did not have some of the food that was on the digital menu – they should’ve taken it off. Entrées were good but wasn’t hot. 1st drink was meh… 2nd drink was much better. Salmon pasta much better the next day when I was able to heat it at home.

My son and I went today for brunch. The food was very delicious seasoned to perfection! I had broiled catfish over grits with Cajun sauce. My son had the same thing but with shrimp. The perfect appetizer was the crab fries!!! I have to say the customer service was Excellent!!! Very very nice young man. I should have gotten his name. He’s short with braids. Very attentive and accommodating. I also played R&B Bingo !!! Won $25 gift card. Definitely was a win win. So I will definitely be going back to try another delicious dish off the menu .

Visited Fatboiz Saturday Atmosphere/ Music was spot on, customer service was great and the food was mid I had the shrimp, salmon grits(which one of the employees recommended for me to try, since I am from Jersey) the grits were very mushy, the salmon was a little undercooked cooked and it soak up every inch of liquid I did not enjoy it whatever that sauce was around the rim..no thank you. My sister had the PoBoi it was a regular sandwich it was ok, the crab fries seem like imitation crab and was not very appealing. The drinks on the other hand were very very good Piña Colada and the Sneaky Link. Overall experience 3 of 5.

As my wife and I walked in we seen a sign that stated Please wait to be seated. We stood there at the door as the greeter/seater talked with the other waitresses by the door. My wife asked do we seat ourselves. The greeter apologized and said give them about 5 minutes to clean off some tables. As we were seated we were given water and we went over the menu on our phones. I ordered the Catfish with rice and Mac and Cheese. My wife ordered Turkey wings in which we found out later on they were out of. She then ordered the the Oxtail and gravy with candy yams and Collard Greens. We also ordered the egg rolls. The only things that we ordered that we didn’t care for was the Mac and Cheese and the Candy Yams.
