Man I’m from Texas and be traveling from state-to-state for work and it’s hard to get good food most places say soul food but it’s nothing close to soul food but this place this little lady here she can throw down she was really paying attention to what was going on in the kitchen with her grandma and mom , great-aunts. My husband and I absolutely loved every part of our meal. I had catfish, cabbage, broccoli and cheese casserole, and a piece of sweet potato pie!!! Delicious is the only word that comes to mind. My husband had ribs, collard greens, baked beans, and potato salad….he all of the potato salad before he could even taste anything else.His ribs were so tender, they off the bone…. Everything else was great too!!! We’ve already made plans to return!!! Fatz Shawn’s Soul Kitchen has it going on. The service, time, and meal is to be commended .

I didn’t know it was a food truck when I went and I almost left but I decided to give them a try. I had the baked chicken meal w/mac-n-cheese and cabbage. Cabbage was a bit overdone, but still good. (It was the end of the day.) The chicken was very well seasoned. The family that runs it is very friendly, and I confirmed they offer military discounts. Good experience, I will be back.

Glad we came across Fat Shawn’s! Food was seasoned nice & was tasty. My husband had a dream bout those shrimp where he thought he had a few leftover…No you ate them all in the car They have plenty options on the menu to choose from.

As sooooon as I get out of Facebook jail I am cussing everyone out. For not more people telling me about this place. Y’all… It’s good. It’s so good my daughter ate all her collards and mine. I mean you can see the flavor on the ribs. The other day I got fried chops… Hands down the best. And don’t even get me started on the sweet potato pie. I know one thing… All my friends in Perry owe me an apology for not telling me about this place sooner. A+++

I had the rib plate with greens and mac & cheese. The ribs were great, fall off the bone and the flavor was such that you didn’t need sauce however the sauce was very good too. The greens and mac & cheese were also perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back to try more from the menu. The service was great also.

Being from Louisiana when it comes to soul food mainly seafood there are high expectations ya dig… Fatz definitely did not disappoint!! From the BBQ to the seafood the food is beyond good!! If you are looking for GREAT southern cooking made with love, you definitely have to check out Fatz Shawn’s! Every time I’ve been able to stop, I’ve never been disappointed. Today I tried the Beef Tips and Rice with Mac & Cheese and Pasta Salad as sides, and it was amazing! Nicole and her parents are wonderful people who definitely know their way around the kitchen!
