This place is life changing. Everyone must run here. Unbelievable food and service. Our waitress was so kind and personable. We came for brunch. I got the short rib Benedict minus the egg. What I am about to say is sincere. I don’t take food lightly. The short rib was some of the best of my life and I absolutely love it. It was so tender and flavorful. I’ll be dreaming of this meal. It was on top of potato pancakes and it soaked right in. My husband loved his French toast and home fries. The food and drinks are all locally sourced. You must try it. I’m in love.

Absolutely wonderful dinner service! I enjoyed the bear’s head mushroom scallopini and fried green tomato appetizer. The atmosphere is relaxed yet upscale. There’s outside seating available as well if you want fresh air. Everything on the menu is locally sourced (and delicious!!) I’m going to be having dreams of that cherry cheesecake for months.

This was really disappointing. I’ve been looking forward to trying this place and decided to go for my birthday. We ordered the crab nachos to start. It’s cold crab on house made potato chips with a warm crab mornay sauce and a cold corn relish. It was confusing in temperature and too sweet. We still ate most of them but they were mediocre at best. I ordered the duck and my husband got the “ribs”. Notice the pictures I posted. See any ribs? Well, it’s that patty looking thing there next to the rectangular bean cakes. I don’t know what this mess was. The texture of ribs being pulled off the bone and then formed into a patty is SO off-putting. Those bean things are marketed as fries. They are not. They are cake. They are bad. Then there was my duck that was so drowned in orange I couldn’t even taste the duck. I ate TWO slices, one to try it and one to make sure I wasn’t crazy and that, in fact, the food is just bad. These are pictures of our plates that I took just before they were taken back to the kitchen. Both plates nearly untouched. I probably wouldn’t have said anything online because I REALLY want new businesses to come to this town and to THRIVE, but the food was awful and when it came time to pay I was handed a totally unadjusted bill and had to ask for the manager who then only took off the “ribs”. We paid, left and will not be back.

Finally!! A quality independent restaurant on route 8! Chef Eric is an incredibly talented chef. Had brunch there recently and it was excellent. House made breads, pasta and lots of creative dishes. Eclectic wine list as well as a focus on local spirits. Go! You won’t be disappointed!

Tons of gluten free and allergy friendly options! As a mom to a daughter with gluten, dairy, egg, tree nuts, sesame, and mustard seed allergy, I was pleased to find a local restaurant so accommodating. Not to mention the AMAZING food. It was incredible. Everything was so fresh. Cindy was such a joy to us and made us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I got the assorted bread appetizer and it was all fresh baked and delicious. He loved his burger and I loved the marinated hangar steak I ordered.

Fabulous experience. Dinner was wonderful. My husband thought the bacon wrapped walleye was best he’s ever had! Although this was our first visit, we’ll be regulars.

We had such an amazing experience here. We had the crab nachos for an appetizer, the hanger steak, bacon wrapped walleye, and baked Alaska for dessert. The decor in the restaurant is clean and inviting, drinks were amazing, and our server was attentive. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend trying this place out!
