Fede was an experience. My husband and I went on a Wednesday at around 5:30pm. Had no problem getting in and were seated in the best table in the house. Small restaurant but wonderful people and atmosphere. Started our dinner with raw oysters and the cheese plate, do not be fooled by the amount. It was the perfect size. We also ordered the pasta rigatoni that was phenomenal. My husband who eats in the box went outside the box an ordered what the waitress suggested… so extraordinary, homemade pasta with an olive oil and lemon sauce, with an Italian cheese that I can’t pronounce. Then we shared the octopus, which neither one of us had ever tried. Our favorite dish, simply outstanding! Took back the orange olive oil cake to the hotel, light and fluffy with the perfect amount of moisture. Topped with a dollop of whip cream.

One of the better restaurants we ate at in Astoria. Excellent food, excellent service. We went to Fede on recommendation of a local. You cannot make reservations so we arrived around 5:00 on a Wednesday there was no wait at 5:00, but it filled up soon after. We started by sharing the romaine albacore salad. Very fresh and crisp with a nice light dressing. For entrees 3 of us all selected pasta dishes – lasagna, tagliatelle, and ravioli and they were all excellent. Generous portions and all of the pasta was very fresh and the sauces light and very flavorful. We all agreed the lasagna was the best entree. We had drinks and two desserts and for 3 people including tip the bill came to $148 -a bit pricey but the food was fantastic. Would definitely dine here again.

Fantastic Italian Restaurant in Astoria. Pretty much everything is made from scratch including the pasta. Limoncello aperitif is nice finisher. Everything was perfectly flavorful and authentic italian. Great location on the dock. No inexpensive but at least you’re getting real gourmet food!

No reservations needed for this quant cozy Italian restaurant. The staff greeted us immediately then sat us in a nice table over looking the water. We started with some appetizer and drinks and it just tumbled into an amazing food experience I highly recommend trying this place out.

This restaurant is amazing!!! When we walked in the door we were greeted very warmly. We were seated in a timely manner. The menu has very nice selections. If you’ve never tried octopus before this is the place you wanna have your first bite. My dish was delicious! The prices are extremely reasonable. We chose to splurge so we did spend a little more so we could try different dishes. You can tell the owners and staff have put their hearts into what they do. My husband and I have already decided we will make the 3 hour drive to enjoy dinner here again.

If you watch the movie Eat Pray Love and want to experience a sense of Dolce far niente in Astoria, walking down Columbia river and stop at Pier 12, this small Italian restaurant will bring you the taste of simple, fresh and delightful Italian food. The fish soup was cooked perfectly, right amount of everything and the fish just melts in your mouth. The pasta was homemade and delicious. If only there’s more spaced to squeeze in desserts, will definitely give it a try next time.

Decided to try the octopus as one of our dishes. We were told it was very tender. When we received the octopus with one potato cut up and some parsley and olive oil, no salt or flavor and the octopus itself what is the texture of over cooked bacon hard and crunchy and black all over it, no flavor. Not tender whatsoever. The owners wife came to the table and ask how was our octopus, I am a cook myself and I told her that it was black and chewy tasteless and overcooked. She dismissed me by saying well no one else has said that over a year, as if what I was telling her didn’t matter. I asked for butter for the bread, I received a tablespoon of tasteless butter. I ordered a root beer that came in a can and it was not even cold. When we received the bill they had charged us two dollars for a tablespoon of butter. when paying the bill I mentioned they might wanna tell people there’s a charge for butter, seems they’re making 100% profit off their butter. The owners wife told me in a snippy voice that it is on the menu. Who charges for butter? Then she said do you want me to show you with an attitude. I said no and walked out. As I stood outside waiting for my companion, she came out and told me how she didn’t appreciate me telling her the truth. Then she said I don’t want you to ever come back. I gave no attitude I wasn’t rude yeah this is the attitude I received after her asking me how things were. I will never recommend this place, I remove the menu from my Airbnb. I found the whole thing outrageous rude and dismissive. I will never go back.
