I expect better quality from a butcher.. bought 3 ribeyes, taste was great, nailed my cook time. Quality of the meat itself was lacking. Very stringy, the quality is what I would expect from a big chain grocery store. I buy from butchers because I value quality above all else. Just fell short.

Absolutely perfect Pastrami sandwiches! Service was excellent and I could explore this tiny store for hours. The frozen meals and butcher choices look excellent. If I was a local I could eat from here 3 times a week! I will be sure to visit next time I am in the area.

This is the best local butcher & deli. Everything is handmade or cut to order. Italian sausage is the best you will ever buy. Steaks are hand-cut & trimmed to order, highest quality. If you are looking for the best burger in IL, grab a pack of the “Custom Burgers” and don’t forget to grab one of your favorite sides including the best homemade potato salad! If you need a quick sandwich for lunch, try any of their amazing subs. Honestly there is not enough room to review all of the amazing and delicious ready-to-cook & pre-made items at this hidden gem! Beef, chicken, turkey, pork, lamb, you name it, they have it. Did I mention they have a selection of fish, pasta, bread, ready to cook cabbage rolls & stuffed peppers, meatballs, soup bones, homemade soups & sides?? Long time customer and I always recommend this shop to everyone I know. Super friendly & helpful staff, thank you to Jim, Kyle, and the rest of the crew. I absolutely love this deli! I used to get a sub and side salad here everyday when I worked in the area. They have excellent prime cuts of beef at fair prices. They also have marinated meats and pre-prepared dinners to take and bake. Lasagna, enchiladas, soups, sloppy Joe’s etc. They have it all. As well as dry pasta to purchase, pasta sauces, peppers and other condiments to purchase. My favorite sub is the beast, it’s amazing and their mustard is uniquely exquisite. I would give 10 stars if I could.

best butcher. the skirt steak is soooo good and my family has enjoyed every frozen meal we’ve gotten. some of our favorites are the chicken enchiladas, chicken giardiniera, and zucchini parmesan. i come here all the time and it’s just a great elk grove spot.
