Fern Cafe is a treat. We ordered the Bloody Marys. From the drink itself to the lunch placed on top the drink it was all fantastic. The toppings are not in the drink getting soggy. They make them perfect. The price is great for what you get. We are returning to try other menus items. We couldn’t help eyeballing everyone’s orders while there. We live an hour away and will be back.

I don’t live in Ohio, so I hadn’t been to the Fern in years. We parked across the street. I was on my phone while crossing the road. As I stepped up on sidewalk I was placing phone in my purse. I never noticed the chains between the flower stands. Next thing my foot was caught in the chain and down I went onto the concrete along with the flower stand .

Had my last trip to “The Fern” which is sad. I know not everything can stay the same after new ownership but something you don’t fix if they’re not broken! They screwed up the meatloaf and now totally did away with the breaded veal with exception of the Big T. So now when I come home to visit it’s one less place to stop now. The atmosphere is more of a yuppie bar than anything now. I definitely miss the days of Gus owning it!

If I had food from there, I’d put in a different rating than 1 star. The reason why I put down one star for food is because I never got the food. It was actually because I was UNABLE to place an order with Fern’s Cafe. First of all, I’m deaf and I rely heavily on using mobile apps to place orders because it’s easy and convenient.

Ordered a Greek salad, looked and tasted like they were out of feta cheese, almost like cottage cheese. Absolutely no prices on the menu .Better have enough money or a credit card. Bill wasn’t as high as I thought it would be though. Won’t go back.

Tha place has been updated and looks nice. We were there on a very busy night, and the food and service were still great. We ordered the meatloaf sandwiches which were delicious. For what we ordered the bill was reasonable. Looking forward to returning and trying another signature item, the bloody marys.
