Sadly, Ferraro’s is nothing like it used to be. Very recently we ordered an Alfredo type pasta, Penne Vodka, and 2 chicken dishes. The Alfredo dish was pure salt and completely inedible (and this is coming from someone who loves salt) We tossed that one right away. The penne vodka dish had the right taste but was swimming in oil. We poured at least a 1/2 cup of oil out of the container right away and it was still swimming in more. It was so very unappetizing. The Chicken dishes were fine. Not fabulous, but not bad either. And, like previous reviewers have mentioned, the bread is an odd hamburger bun type roll that was stale. Even if it wasn’t stale it just doesn’t work with the food, they shouldn’t bother including them. They were tossed immediately as well. The only upside to the whole order was that it was delivered very quickly and everything was still hot when received. Sadly I won’t be ordering from them again.

Ordered take out for 10 and everyone was disappointed with their meal. As an ex: The meatball Parm was 2 meatballs sliced in two. The roll was so bready it was like eating it on a loaf of wonder bread, not anywhere close to a good Italian roll. With almost no cheese to be found. Two ordered of soggy chicken wing appetizer. The rolls that came with dinners were like hamburger rolls. Etc etc. Will never be ordering from them again.

Ordered a few trays for an event and the ordering process was simple, very detailed, and they knew the questions to ask to make sure the order was correct. The food was ready when promised and the food was excellent. Ferraro’s salad was a hit as well as their pastas and chicken. Pickup at this location is simple thanks to their parking lot.

We called for our to go order at 6:15pm on Saturday and was told there was a 40-45 minute wait for the order to be ready. On a Saturday in the heart of dinner time we felt that wasn’t such a bad wait time. I left the house and arrived at 7:01 and immediately paid my bill and was told the order would be ready in a few minutes. To keep my social distancing, I decided to wait in the car and create space for others picking up their to go orders. I sat patiently in my car for 15, 20 then 25 minutes. Rather than go back in I figured I would call to see what the hold up was, I held for 4 minutes only to get disconnected. I walked in ask what was taking so long and was told the kitchen got slammed. I truly believe that the order wasn’t even touched until I walked back in. We are talking about 1 hour and 15 minutes since the order was placed. Slammed or not, the order should have been ready.

I placed an order for 6 adult meals, 1 kids meal, 1 kids appetizer and 1 order of meatballs at 6:15PM. Yes it was a Saturday evening. They told me 45 minutes. I arrived to pick up at 7:03PM. I was told it would be a few minutes to wait in my car and they would bring it out. At 7:24, I went back in. A man behind the counter asked me what I needed. I gave him my order # and explained I was in earlier and still waiting. I don’t remember exactly what he said because I was so taken back at his attitude with me. My order wasn’t ready until 7:35PM. When the lady gave me my order I asked if everything was there. She assured me she checked it and everything was there. She did offer to help me to the car. When I arrived home, the Eggplant dinner was missing. When we looked at the receipt, someone was clearly marking the receipt as it was backed, I guess. And guess what, the Eggplant Parm wasn’t highlighted.. When I called, the gentleman was very apologetic and offered to deliver it right away. The eggplant arrived in about 20 minutes. We had 2 ordered 2 gnocchi dinners. The Homemade Gnocchi Napoletano was in so much thin liquid, it looked like it was in a red broth. We had to drain the liquid out before eating. The gnocchi tasted okay but didn’t look very appetizing. Disappointed in this experience. We will never do takeout here again.

Always great food is consistent. If you are ordering during peak times do yourself a favor and allow for some time this place gets extremely busy and they do a great job preparing the amount of meals that they do.

My husband and I love ordering from the south side location because of how delicious the meals are. The Ferarro’s salad with grilled chicken chopped is my favorite! I have also ordered off the catering menu for 2 occasions, everyone raved about the penne vodka, chicken franchese, and jumbo meatballs! Reasonably priced and timely with the deliveries
