So here’s the thing when this restaurant moved from it’s nearer west side location to Rocky River I went the first week. It was uncharacteristically bad. But hey, first week. Returned 6 months later, still not a good experience. So, I have avoided this pace for, likec10+ years. On a whim went there last Saturdauly night. IT WAS AMAZING! The service was great. The food was perfectly delicious. My steak was prepared expertly and literally melted in my mouth. The scallops were seasoned so well and prepared splendidly, but the presemtation….OUTSTANDING. This lively place is now “on my list”. I felt it was absolutely worth every cent I paid. I will be back!

This is the second time I’ve visited this restaurant, the first time was back in the mid eighties and it was ok for a neighborhood spot on Detroit Ave on Clevelands West side, today I say I had one of the worst steaks I can remember, the first steak they brought me was so over cooked you could barely cut it, the second steak was not as well done, but it had no char and even less flavor, they should not call themselves a steakhouse, maybe a diner if you will, but not a steakhouse, I manage to eat half of a 14oz cut only cuz I was hungry, I paid $42.00 for that steak, needless to say I won’t be going back. This place has been around a long time, maybe it’s time they call it quits.

Not unlike other reviewers, I found the place a little dark. Not sure why the lights are a little dimmer in steakhouses, perhaps out of fear that if the customer got a good look at the steak they’re about to eat, they probably wouldn’t eat it! However, that’s not the case here, the steak was delicious and cooked to order. The service was speedy and pleasant on a slow night. Prices are reasonable for an upscale steakhouses with plenty of other options on the nenu.

Had a wonderful meal at Ferris Steakhouse. Took my friend there for her birthday and we both had the Black & Bleu Filet and it was amazing! Cooked perfectly and the bleu cheese sauce on top was amazing! Our waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive but gave us time and space to talk and catch up. She wasn’t annoyed when we needed more time to look at the menu because we were chatting. They had a very nice wine and cocktail selection. Their bar area looked really nice and I could see sitting there having a drink and watching a game as they had tv’s all around it. The restaurant is very classy and well decorated and the bar area is very nice too and I would call it an upscale bar area but a place where you would feel comfortable watching a sports game. We will definitely be back.

Poor food quality in taste and smell. Out of many menu items that would have gladly chosen including the specials. Slow service and not busy at 8:00pm when arrived. Server explained kitchen didn’t prep properly, large table ordered the last items, didn’t expect to be busy…lots of excuses. Appetizers and entrees not worth the price. Bland food and pricey too. Would not recommend.

Surprised my hubby with dinner here for his birthday. It was our first visit but definitely will not by the last! We got mozzarella sticks and the rueben rolls for apps. They were awesome! Our girls got the sliders, pizza and pasta. I didnt get to try the pasta becasue my 11 year inhaled it!! The pizza amd sliders were great. I got the delmonico Oscar style and i barely had to chew it! The meat was so tender!! The brandy Alexander was very good but very strong so beware! we will be back!!

We had absolutely stellar service from our waiter Chris. A majority of the people in our party were elderly including my uncle Elmar. Chris took amazing care of us. My aunt and I had the Prime rib with Bernaise sauce, my cousin had a steak with a great loaded baked potato, my father loved the Scampi dinner. What we did not realize was this was literally going to be my uncle’s last meal. He had the half slab of ribs and fries. He loved them. He passed away two days later so we were incredibly grateful for the attentive and patient service that Chris gave us. Will definitely return to Ferris Steakhouse soon.

Well, I chose Ferris Steakhouse & Tavern for birthday dinner & had a great time visiting with friends. Thats about the only positive thing I have to say about my experience there. We had 5 tables sat after we ORDERED and they all were on deserts before we got our dinner. Then my medium rare steak came med well. When the Manager brought the 2nd attempt out, she ordered me to cut it in front of her. I was NOT happy with the service or quality if my meal. Thank God the company was great and the setting was nice. I heard several other people complaining. You all know I normally give honest and good reviews, but too many disappointments here for my liking & the price. For these prices, it should have been way better.

It was my first time dining at Ferris Steak House and I was a little disappointed to be completely honest. I’ll get to the point and say that the steak is very good, the cocktails are decent and the restaurant overall is very nice, but the service is subpar. My fiance was fortunate enough to have her dinner prepped to her liking. As for me not so much. My fiance and I both ordered a Vesper cocktail, she asked for a splash of grapefruit juice (I hate grapefruit) in hers and I did not. They both arrived fully loaded with grapefruit juice in them. We both enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer which was very good although it was initially sent to the table across from us. Next to arrive was her soup and my salad. I specifically asked for no cheese on it, but it arrived covered in cheese. For our last course I ordered the 16 oz. Prime Rib, along with it came a side. I asked for the asparagus, but my dinner was served with a mound of mashed potatoes instead. I finally decided to speak up and point out the mistake. The server who brought out my meal was kind enough to quickly bring out some asparagus to the table and leave the potatoes. Even though my experience was not the best I do think that my food was prepared well. I highly suggest that the servers listen closely to their customers to ensure a pleasant experience, their tip depends on it.
