We live and Marion and had only been here once. We went on a Sunday for lunch and the place was nearly empty. We like the server and the atmosphere, music and food. The food was a bit high for a bar for sure. When the bill came they wanted to add a 4% charge for using a credit card. The 2 egg rolls we got were $10.49 so you think they could afford to not charge extra for using a credit card. We purposely visit a place LESS when they charge to use a credit card. We used to visit the Starlight Room 2 times a month and now we only go about 2 times a year. If you can not afford to accept a method of payment then do not be in business. The egg rolls were already $10.49 which is a lot. I do not think most people would notice if they were $10.99 and then you would not need to appear to petty to customer and leave them feeling sour when they pay. And at 4% the restaurant is profiting off this scheme as most credit cards charge the restaurant betwwen 2.5% and 3%. Now we will go less often because of this policy.

Nice food and decently kind staff. But the LGBT advocacy is a little off-putting. They have bathrooms that are … Just wrong. It would be a great place if they’d be less woke.

My wife loved her Philly cheese steak and crinkle fries. My fish sandwich was good. The staff was great and The atmosphere was nice. We really enjoyed the classic 60’s music. Ample TV screens for sporting events.

The fieldhouse is much smaller then it appears so it doesn’t have a ton of room or tables. The service was ok, nothing to write ho.e about. The pickle wrap egg rolls were very good but you only got 4 pieces, or 2 whole egg rolls for 9 dollars. The pulled pork/Mac and cheese wrap was very very good. The onions rings are true beer battered onion rings. The chair I sat in was wobbly as one leg was shorter then the others. Overall a decent experience and would probably give it a second try. The good would be worth trying it again.

Let’s see. Beer = good. Sports bar = good. Food = good. WHY RATE A 5? Top notch SERVICE is always the difference between a 5 and whatever. There was only ONE person providing everything. I’m not kidding. Seat ya, get your drinks, get your food order, get more drinks. You got the picture? And there were 12 tables with 2 – 4 guests at each. Highly efficient, pleasant and you’d wish she was your daughter. Amen.

Won’t be back, our food was just not good. Started with the garlic pizza breadsticks. The flavor was okay, but they were cracker thin, not what one would expect from breadsticks. I had a tenderloin which was way overcooked. The onion rings were saturated in oil, which tasted old.

If you’re a sports lover, this is a great place. Food and drinks are inexpensive, so even staying to watch the whole game won’t put you out of pocket. Really good value.
