Food here was amazing. My husband loves a good street taco…. and we have been to several Mexican restaurants…. but he said this was by far the best tacos he has ever had. He got the birrea tacos and loved them. We all tried them and they had very good flavor. All of our food was good and came out hot. Service was also good and waitress kept drinks refilled and our table cleared off any dishes we were finished with. I would recommend this place. After we finished we walked around the square and it is such a cute little place. Western themed and has some good places for pictures.

This was the best Mexican Food I’ve had yet in FL. I had the Shrimp Vera Cruz. As usual my partner and I sampled each others plate. She had the Mexican Plate which included a very delicious pork tamale, the best one I ever sampled. Her steak chili was a notch above medium heat and I loved that too. It was made from a good cut of premium sirloin and fresh chili pepper. She had the lime Margarita which consisted of a generous shot of tequila, triple sec and pure lime juice. The last third of her plate had a Jack cheese enchilada that was out of this world good. My generous shrimp loaded oblong plate had about 10 pieces of fresh gulf shrimp topped with melted Jack cheese and mushrooms over Mexican rice. Everything was superb here. I would encourage all reading this who can get to this part of Florida to stop in for lunch or dinner. Parking is easy and free.

Visited the Villages in late March. Convenient location with plenty of parking within short walking distance. Located across the town square. Good food selection, taste and service. Some large tables can accommodate larger groups.

It was an OK place for mexican food. They brought us chips & salsa and the chips werent warm and there was no variety in salsas before are meals were served. We all ordered different items on the menu. One of us ordered the fajita salad and said it was really good. I had the hot & spicey burrito which wasnt real hot or spicey but it was fine nothing special. Another had the chili relleno and chalupa combination meal and that was also very average. We all needed alot of hot sauce to kick all the meals up a notch. For a mexican food restaurant it was pretty average!

When we were seated, I noticed a large number (8-9) servers and others, crowded at the bar to watch a horse race on television. They ignored us and others while they watched the competition. What? Who runs this place?

We ordered the Fajitas order for one, and it was fantastic! Super flavorful, very tender chicken, shrimp and veggies a must visit if craving Mexican food! One important factor was service our waiter was super friendly and timely… we will be back for drinks next time! PS, check out the empty plate.

Was wanting some tacos before heading to work and a place to sit and cool off. The tacos were great, got the “side dish” tacos in carnitas and shredded beef and they were huge and very tasty. Unfortunately, didn’t realize the restaurant has a large open area to the outside for the bar so it was barely cooler than outside which wasn’t great. It was so loud inside my waiter could barely hear me and I kept having to repeat myself and he never bothered to refill my drink for the entire half hour I was sitting there.

I’ve been eating at this chain for years. This is the first time I’ve had issue with it. The margarita had no flavor and I’ve had two in the past sometimes but this time even with my wife drinking mine with me I didn’t finish it. If it was just the drink I would have said nothing but after mentioning the drink my wife said her meal lacked the normal portions of meat (steak fajitas). My wife is a chef and Im very picky about flavor because of it. The flavor hasn’t changed but cutting the portion of meat down was very noticeable to her. It wasn’t long ago that Price was raised which I ignored but price of meat for business owners is currently down so this doesn’t sit well with me. I’ll give their north store a try to see if it’s the same but I’m going to stay away from the Brownwood location for a while. Oh it’s worth noting that even though we were put in the back service was very good. Many of the staff are from the other store do we’ve known them for years.

Honestly, we will not be back. We use to love this place and I hate to trash a restaurant but after ordering 3 margs (not small but if they were 3 ounces more than the small, that was the max)…so 3 margs, 1 taco dinner 12.50 correct ) and an enchil dinner 16.99 correct we paid 72.00. 90.00 with the tip. Outrageous. My Mom ordered a small marg for 8.25 and it was just about the same size as my 13.25 marg but without the pretty cup (which you cannot keep but you can buy for an additional $20). Sorry we are done being taken advantage of inside the bubble. WHAT A SHAME.

Place was packed and they accommodated our group of 8 within a few minutes. Fast service, waitress and servers were top notch. A must visit when in Brownwood square!
