Get a true taste of Italy. Fantastic, authentic, and classy. I shared a dish, but if you eat like Kobioshi you can try a whole dish to yourself. Save room for desert the cheesecake is delicious. Got to love supporting small business the blood line of America!

Went on a Saturday when it was absolutely bucketing down rain, but it was definitely worth the wet feet.

This is a great little Italian restaurant! The owner/manager is very hands on and attentive to his patron’s needs/wants. We had Lasagna (10 out of 10) and Lobster Ravioli with Pesto (9 out of 10). Definitely a recommend!

What a great experience. Food is outstanding, with HUGE portions. First time we’ve had the veal Bracciolettine Calabrese. Trust me: ORDER it.

In a neighborhood packed full of so many Italian restaurants that it’s impossible to tell them apart, Filippo’s stands out as a hidden gem. From the moment we sat down we were treated with by far the best hospitality I’ve gotten anywhere in Boston. To put it shortly, you are treated like family. Our server (clearly from Italy) immediately got to introducing himself, giving us an extra table, getting to know us, and taking the time to make sure we were comfortable. He knew the ENTIRE menu by heart and seemed to genuinely care about giving us the best experience possible. He even brought out a congratulatory desert plate as he knew we were eating there for a graduation dinner, and genuinely seemed to wish us the best. Throughout the meal he was attentive without being pushy and really just provided the best and most welcoming hospitality you can ask for. It’s hard to find such a personable restaurant nowadays.

Everything is always fantastic. This little place on the corner of the street has become a favorite due to the warm welcome we receive with every visit. Owner always remembers or drinks and or favorite appetizers. It has become a yearly must for my family.

Booked a reservation but still had to wait at the bar for a table. It took the restaurant 40 minutes to get us seated and to get our orders. The food was nice (especially the calamari), but the service time was disappointing. Booked a table for 2 at 7pm, got seated at 7:20, got our orders taken at 7:40. Our server was very nice and understanding. This place has room for improvement in terms of its service time. We got our food at around 8:15pm.
