This cozy diner is full of character and characters. The clientele are regulars and with good reason; the food is good and very reasonably priced. There’s nothing earth shaking on the menu, but for a quick lunch or dinner you can’t beat the service or the people watching. This is a breakfast all day, shoot the breeze with the guys, talk about corn and weather kind of place. A highlight for me were the home made breaded mushrooms- no matter how often I get these I can’t resist them long enough to avoid burning my mouth – and these were no exception. 🙂 they were perfectly done, seasoned well, crispy exterior and cooked through- delicious. Portions are generous. I had the pulled pork special, it was an interesting sauce, reminiscent of a mole vs a traditional sweet or vinegar sauce. Texture of the pork was good, and I’d certainly get it again. Strawberry shortcake for desert. It’s likely the berries were from frozen but it was still a nice treat on a sweltering humid day. Service was spectacular, staff is attentive and friendly, know the regulars by name, remember how they like their eggs and what they drink. When I think of a small town diner this is exactly what I think of. Give it a try!

Food was great and perfectly cooked. But the service we had sucked. Our server (Jamie H) never checked in on us, never asked us how our food was, or anything a normal server does. The other servers we saw seemed to be alot better and caring about their tables.

Love this diner! Stopped for breakfast after attending a concert at the Peoria Civic Center and was very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. The staff was very welcoming, attentive and friendly. My breakfast of bacon, eggs, French toast and coffee was tasty and freshly cooked. My coffee cup never made it to half empty — the wait staff brought around the coffee pot on a frequent basis and didn’t worry about whose table was whose. Very moderately priced. The best thing about this little cafe is that it is family owned and everyone was working hard. I would be a regular if I lived in that area.

Stopped in Friday for dinner. The corned beef was way too salty. The Vegetable beef noodle soup, comes out in a chicken base with ground hamburger and was awful. Who Uses chicken stock for Vegetable beef soup! The food last night didn’t impress us.

Extremely disappointed. Been a 3-4 times per week reg for 2 yrs. Omelet was burnt. Cook frustrated to redo then new omelet had egg shells in it. I know they were slammed with customers but no excuse for poor quality food.

Got the omelet today, tasted pretty good, cheese was laid on top and not melted in the middle, size wise it is not the largest one we have had around town and usually they have a better presentation. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is great and would recommend checking it out.

Stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner, full menu all day long. Always friendly staff, clean place. And you could look around for hours at all the cool things they have on the walls. Bring the whole family and well get ya seated very quickly. Always great food from the kitchen staff. And Amber and Marty are usually out having conversations with their customers. Stop by today
