Look…if you’ve never had El Tesoro before…I got you. The only thing you need to order is a Mulita. It’s their best offering, consistently great, and so rich you’ll shed a tear. Plus you can’t find ’em anywhere else. Get some chips and queso while you’re at it. Thank goodness we’re getting some good food in SW ATL.

Food took an hour before it was ready. The queso was good, but the tacos were pretty bad.

With the recent addition of El Tesoro’s menu, it is hard to find a better combination of a tasty taproom and delicious dining.

Queso FINA, it was interesting but all the toppings took away all the cheese flavor. Chips have the large salt flakes stuck on them which makes them way too salty.

Disgusting tacos. DRENCHED in sauce when I bit down the sauce was soaked in the meat tortillas vegetables so gross. Couldn’t even enjoy anything else.

In short, we really, really enjoyed the beers and the lovely outdoor seating options on a warm spring afternoon but the food was very disappointing. Was funny to see here that other reviewers who ordered chips and salsa thought they received marinara sauce…we had the same thought! C’mon guys, even some cheap salsa purchased in bulk from Costco would be better and more appropriate. The tacos weren’t very flavorful or hot and as other reviewers pointed out, simply browning the tortilla and adding some fresh chopped cilantro, onion, and lime would have improved the taste considerably with very minimal effort. I wouldn’t eat here again but would definitely enjoy a beer or two on the patio.

They’re consistently out of half of their menu, while the restaurant right across the path Boxcar is not. So, it must be a management problem where they can’t seem to order the right amount of food. They’re also consistently out of wings… on a Friday night. I mean, you can literally drive up the street to Kroger to get some wings. All around, while the staff is pleasant, there’s no use in going to a restaurant without food.

The food is OK but good atmosphere and the fact that they even have food at this side of the beltline is a rarity.

With El Tesoro, the food/beer combo is incredible. The whole place is popping all day!
