Fire and Frost is absolutely a hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, the inviting atmosphere is sweet and cozy. The pizzas are simply divine, with a perfect balance of flavors and a crust that is both crispy and delightfully chewy. The menu offers a wonderful selection of options, definitely showcasing the chef’s creativity. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with loved ones, or just stopping in by yourself! Just the restaurant that Wintergreen needed! Cool mountain ambience, and the owners/operators are so friendly! Whatever the season, a latte and one of their delicious pastries is the perfect way to start the day. And the woodfired pizzas, not gonna lie, are some of the best I’ve ever tasted! Already looking forward to our next trip back.

Having just read another review that has nothing in common with my many visits to F&F – Ellen, the woman taking your order and running the operation is one of the nicest people ever. We have a few dietary restrictions and she and Jared do anything possible to accommodate our needs. I’m not saying no one has ever had a bad moment or day, but I can say with no hesitation that Ellen is awesome (and Jared is one heck of a chef). They are an incredible addition to the mountain.

As I have shared with previous reviews – I don’t post them often but when I do, it’s 5-star all the way. Fire & Frost is a real gem with not only great, fresh yummies that are deeeelish – but the place has a great atmosphere. You can tell the owners love what they do and are happy to be there.

This place is the best!!! We went there for breakfast because we were looking for some pastries and OMG they were incredible! The owners were super nice it’s got the blue ridge as a back drop! The pastries were flaky buttery goodness. I got the chocolate croissant a classic and a bacon egg and cheese puff which was just so yummy. The caramel latte I got put the Starbucks I had gotten the previous morning to shame like should have been walking with the bells ringing naked shame. It was so good that I ordered more to go. I got an apple pie cider and it was like Christmas pie in a cup!!! Will definitely go back if ever in the area cannot wait to try thier pizzas but this will be my breakfast spot when there in the future! Great job guys!!!!

I have enjoyed countless breakfasts and lunches at Fire and Frost! It is by far the highest quality and best tasting food on the mountain. Chef J’s attention to detail and pure ingredients make for truly magical dishes!!! The best part is that my kids enjoy it even more than we do. Best food on the mountain!!!!!

3/22/23 – Again… another fabulous lunch at Fire and Frost. Super quick and great atmospher to relax and enjoy time with other patrons who value fresh, tasty and genuine creativity with their menu. So nice to have this establishment at Wintergreen Resort. Looking forward to a sweat treat on my next visit. I think I may need to sit in their new outdoor chairs and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
