We are so happy of the rebirth of the Firebox into Fire by Forge. The team kept everything that made Firebox exceptional. The best looking plates, by far, in the region (in CT?) The plates’ presentation are in another league, why higher that all pricier restaurants around here. And the flavors and textures are amazing. Special mention to the pickled fried green tomatoes. Service was full of attention and very welcoming. We’ll be back, often.

AMAZING FOOD! The FXF Steak and Fries were delicious! The NY Strip was cooked perfectly and was juicy and so tender that you could cut it with a fork. The Forge Fries were the best ever! Never tasted anything like them before! Karrigan’s Biscuits were so good, we ordered a second plate of them! Everything we had was so good! Looking forward to trying out their breakfast next and will definitely return for dinner!

New HALAL spot found. We stumbled upon this place due to a IG post by someone else. Contacted and confirmed that they do have halal chicken, which is also disclosed on their menu. We made reservations and headed there right away. Parking was easy upfront, staff was super friendly, ambience and food was great. The flavor was spot on and the hostess, the person we made reservations with all stopped by to make us feel welcomed and greet us. The one young lady who made our reservations, I won’t try to spell out her name and mess it up, came over and had a nice conversation with us. Knew about halal certifications and even said if there’s more community interest, they get halal beef and steaks too.

I was disappointed by Fire by Forge. I had been looking forward to going since they opened, so when we had time off to do so I was excited. The chips and dip was good, as was my Lavender lemonade, but my burger was actively bad. I’ve never had a weirder tasting burger, it was very slimy and the fries tasted like something i could make from frozen fries. My partner liked his food but agreed about my burger. I personally found his dish very one note (smoky). We may try again after they have been open for awhile. I feel bad because the service was lovely and everyone was really nice but the food just wasn’t.

Are you looking for more local action?—Fire by Forge Restaurant has it. An international artist friend invited me to see him play the bass at the weekly farm stand. The event occurred in the parking lot next door to the Fire and Forge Restaurant… Again, I was looking for the best vegetarian item on the menu, and this time was lucky enough to speak to the chef. He recommended the Street Corn Salad with Grilled Chicken! It was Thursday, and I usually ate protein on the weekends; this time, I made the exception. Everyone, from the host to the bartender, was friendly and kind. I didn’t have to wait long to order and to get the food. The portion of the salad was more than enough, and the spicy-flavored vegetables were crispy and fresh to the last bite.

Been here a couple of times already; it’s an expansion/relocation of The Kitchen, which used to be adjacent to this location. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly and attentive. I always go for the lavender lemonade (when going alcohol-free). Place has yet to expand to dinner hours. Also, the living wage and insurance they provide to their employees is also a selling point for me.

Holy tuna tartare…. There’s a fried rice cake under there and avocado and fresh sashimi tuna and greens…. I could eat it every day for all 3 meals. The nightrider is amazing. Everything we had was delicious!!!!

Great space. The ambiance is such a welcoming hay. I spent 3 hours here, not noticing the time passing. We had several meal choices, and everyone was pleased with their selection.
