Always check your sandwich before leaving, regardless of the Firehouse Subs location. First let me say, I like Firehouse Subs sandwiches. They are so much better than the stuff you get at Subway. But… It is very rare that I get the sandwich that I order. At least 80% of the time my order is wrong. We ran into this in the Collinsville location. I had higher hopes for the new Edwardsville location. They failed. I ordered a veggie sub with no cooked green peppers or onions, no lettuce, and no tomato. I added uncooked green peppers and onions. The sandwich ended up being full of lettuce, tomatoes, and cooked green peppers and onions. I hate writing bad reviews but this has been a pervasive issue for a long time. I don’t know what Firehouse Subs needs to do to fix their ordering system, but they need to do something. The running joke in my family is when we go to Firehouse Subs is “Do you think they’ll mess up my sandwich this time. If I’m paying $48 for three subs with chips and a drink, it would be nice to get the sandwiches that I ordered. Please take this seriously. I can’t be the only one running into this. They have a great product, but it’s rarely right. One more thing, my wife asked for extra napkins. We didn’t get any in the bag. Okay, I’ll take off my Karen wig now.

This was the first time I’ve eaten here and I’ll definitely return. The staff was super accommodating to my gluten free needs and it was truly the best gluten free roll I’ve had in over thirteen years. It’s nice to know there’s another tasty gluten free eating choice in my Edwardsville repertoire.

I was excited for Firehouse to be in Edwardsville but was very disappointed after my first visit today. I asked for an Italian with no onions, but it came with onions and no tomato, with almost no Italian dressing so it was very dry. I also asked for my pickle with it and they said they were out. They were also out of barbecue chips. As a college student who tries to save money, I was excited to splurge and eat here. I hope the food gets better because I love firehouse, but left this location feeling like I had just wasted $14 on a meal I didn’t like 🙁

First Firehouse sub in Edw’ville and was tasty. Good wheat bread and ample meats and toppings. Best sub I have had since Subway! Will go again!

Ordered food 30 minutes before close, ended up getting a burnt meatball sandwich, a sandwich with stale bread, and a dry Philly cheese steak. The only good things about the meal were the pre packaged potato chips and the self serve drinks.

Great food…just slow to order and honestly just SAY too expensive. Cost $38 for 2 small combos and a medium to feed me and two of my kids.

Small portions and takes a long time to make. Very tasty in the end though, but not sure the wait and the portion makes it worth it.
