I love this restaurant! The food is always very fresh and prepared perfectly! I love the employees. They’re always smiling, they greet you, and they all get along so well!! Their sandwiches come with the best pickles. Be sure to buy one of their pickle buckets. They’re strong with good storage. And they make a great little seat! But first go there for the food and atmosphere. Check out the fire paraphernalia and how they donate to the Firefighters Association. And thank the employees for making the whole experience a very happy healthy one!

Their food is usually really good. The place is clean and staff 8snfriwmdly. This time they got it very wrong! I can not stand pickles so I asked for no pickle with my sandwich. Well they had a pickles with them. Now the entire sandwich tastes like pickel juice. I can not eat it. But hear me when I say I have eaten here A LOT and this is the first time they have messed up my sandwich!!

We are regular customers at Firehouse and frequent the location by West Town Mall. Nothing but amazing things to say about that one. However, we visited the Firehouse in Hardin Valley tonight and after witnessing some disgusting sanitation practices by the two employees working, we ended up walking out without getting our food. We are very quiet non confrontational people but felt this was worthy of a review since somebody could get sick. There were two people working- a guy and a girl. The first guy was using a broom and dustpan with his gloves on- a dustpan that was on the ground- then put them down and used the same gloves to start making our sandwich. We didn’t want to say anything since there were lots of people in there, but at that point we were already not going to eat the food. But it didn’t stop there. The girl employee then grabbed the sub after it was steamed and proceeded to put it inside the dirty trash can and shake it in there to drain out some excess moisture. Needless to say, we were very grossed out. I understand people have bad days or they are tired after a long shift, but that should never come at the expense of food cleanliness. We won’t be returning to this location and I’m only writing this review in hopes that management can see it and teach their staff the importance of food sanitation.
