The workers here are super friendly and nice. They talk with you as they prep your sandwiches. The sandwiches are amazing. The meat tastes so much better than the normal sandwich joints around here. There are many options to choose from, my favorite is either the honey ham or the Italian. You do not get skimped on toppings like you do at Subway, the sub makes me so full. The pricing has gone up and is a little high, but like I said you get what you pay for! They have a good selection of sides chips, cookies, brownies, chili and mac and cheese.

Food is great, staff was friendly. My only service complaint is that there were several people just standing around and the dining area looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned throughout the day. Moreover, I had to repeat my order multiple times and was served my order incomplete only to catch it myself to which my response from the staff was a chuckle and my bad. Suffice to say, it was a very informal atmosphere that might lead to some headaches for folks.

I got the Italian sub. It was very good. Husband got the newer jerk chicken sub and it had very good seasoning. Probably the best tive ever tasted from a sub shop. There was only one dude working, but he worked was kind and worked as quick as he could to get us our order.

This place has really gone downhill. The food is good, but today I was told that the rewards program wasn’t working (cashier said, “I gotta get that fixed.”) and to keep my receipt. Okay, I can deal. I went to get my drink and there’s no ice. I walked back over to the cashier who said, “I gotta figure out what’s wrong with that. There’s no ice, but the pop is cold!” Yeah – no. Figure those things out, don’t tell customers you’re gonna get them fixed but then do nothing, have alternatives available. It’s not too much to ask when the food costs that much.

I’ve tried multiple attempts at giving them chances but I’m just convinced the employees here don’t read the orders properly or even care about getting customer orders correct. I’ve had my order correct 1 time from this place.

Food was good. Last few times in store, the appearance has declined. Cabinet door next to machine has been missing for months. Trash container needs wiped down. Bathroom needs swept and mopped.

Gluten free buns available, they are careful about cross-contamination and I have not gotten sick from eating there. Hard to choose which sandwich to eat, they are all delicious

We got the June special. Stacked sub. Awesome. Too bad it goes away at the end of the month. All employees are extremely kind and helpful. Great team on Illinois Rd.

Sandwich was good but when you order online for a 10:40 pickup and you walk in an theres 6 employees standing around, an nobody else in there, an have to wait 20 min for sandwich its not worth going in there, only have 30 min lunch break. Never will go there again. I thought the reason for online ordering was so they could have it ready when you get there. But not this place.

Today my wife and I were heading through Fort Wayne. We searched and found this Firehouse. Stopped in to find several customers waiting. Just two workers. We should have left and went somewhere else but did not. Placed our order and waited at least 20 minutes, possibly 30. We felt bad for the two employees as they obviously were short on help. Both employees were very nice and apologized for the wait to us and other customers. However, we were totally turned off when the young lady prepping the food pulled out her cell phone for the majority of our time in the store and she had another female on the line, who was upset and crying the entire time, which we could clearly hear since her phone was on speaker. Not professional but we were more offended when she prepared our food with gloves on, but often holding her cell phone in one hand. Not sanitary at all and you would think the health department would be all over this! Long story short, we should have asked for a refund of our order. Instead, we ate some of our subs but in disgust! We love Firehouse Subs but this is a total turn off! They can do better!
