So this really could have been a negative review. My wife and I decided to try FHS for the first time this afternoon. We ordered online and had a couple of requests for a change of toppings to not be on our sandwiches. I got to the store and we waited for our order, and we left. Once we got home we noticed that neither of the requests were honored and both sandwiches had the items on them. Not a great way to leave a good 1st impression. So I called to find out what happened. The first person I talked to apologized and offer to remake them for us, I voiced my complaint that I had already drove all the way there and back, the worker explained that they don’t have their own delivery service but I was asked to hold for a sec and I was passed on to the manager where I was again apologized too and was told that the online ordering is not sending special requests to the store so they aren’t getting them. I was offered a remake of our sandwiches and a refund which I happily agreed too. I drove back to the store, and my meal was remade, I received a refund and a drink for my wait. The workers went above and beyond to make sure we were happy for something that went wrong that is out of their control. This was our first time dining at this sandwich shop and because of the excellent customer service we received today we be back. Thank to the whole team today to make sure we had a good experience regardless of tech issues.

Usually when we go in half of the tables are dirty and the staff is pretty unenthusiastic to say the most. The last time really urked us because I asked for an order a certain way and didn’t check it (my first mistake) because the ticket was rang correct. Had to go all the way back to replace a sandwich. The only reason we went back instead of just getting credit was be cause I left my debit card. When I called to tell them about the sandwich, the unpleasant cashier hung up on me the first time, then the second time, never said hello or introduced herself, she just waited to finish her sentence to the other staff member and then said “Firehouse”, and after a brief conversation we went back. The cashier never once said sorry, or thanks for coming back or anything. I should have known since she didn’t even greet me when I ordered the food. She just stood there with her arms crossed saying “anything else?” If you hate your job, get a new one. I give it a 3 for food because while it was good, it is always a sloppy mess.

I ordered online. I placed my order for two medium sandwiches and two bags of chips. Order placed at 11:07. Order received at 11:56. I personally placed and picked up the order. I’ve had so many amazing experiences. Unfortunately, I had to return 3 times for them to make my order correctly. Very frustrating. Was never offered a refund or anything for the inconveniences. It’ll be a while before I return.

Arrived at store at 8:20 pm. Closing sign says 9:00. Took twenty minutes to even place an order and another 20 to get food. Employees keep glaring at us as we waited for sandwhiches. Upon getting our food we were told the lobby closes at 8. We had planned on dining in. NO WHERE IN STORE DOES IT SAY LOBBY CLOSING TIME. Very unpleasant experience will not be going back to this location.

Order through Ubereats and was told the order didn’t come through on their end so I had to cancel. Still got charged for food I never received and was told by the restaurant to cancel. I’m disputing the charge because that’s beyond ridiculous. If they had a system outage why were they still showing as available? And they couldn’t contact me themselves? Terrible service.

Ordered two medium sandwiches witch I usually go to Edwardsville n there’s is small 8inch medium 10inch large 12 inch. The end. Tell Me why both our sandwiches are 7 inches and paid for 10 inches lady told me on the phone the small is 6inch an medium is 8 an large is 10 an that doesn’t make sense so I told her what online said an she just said idk idk no help no can we fix it do you need a manager nothing just let ppl pay extra to get less and YES I measured my sandwich call me karen but when I usually get full and I’m still hungry yeah for the same price as well an rude ppl working there. Don’t know any answer to any question. Idk where the option is to post a picture but I got the sandwich at 7 inches on here for proof .

Used to love this place but the service has gone downhill. Waited over 30 mins for an online order (2 subs) – they didn’t call our name and didn’t include our chips in the bag (which we didn’t realize til we got home). Don’t think we’ll be back to this location any time soon.
