I’m a fan of Firehouse Subs! Have visited three times and have not been disappointed. First visit I tried the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket sub and was pleased with the flavor. Second time tried the Turkey Bacon Ranch which was delicious. Today ordered The Engineer & my only regret is that I ordered a small! I’m hooked! Going to make my way thru the menu, everytime I pass through Vacaville!

I, literally, have nothing to criticize about this sandwich place at the Nut Tree Plaza. The service: great. The Jamaican jerk turkey and steak and cheese sandwiches: messy but yummy. The fact that they donate proceeds from EVERY sandwich to local emergency responders: priceless. The fireman gear on the walls and the framed fire district patches give this place a friendly ambiance. Go dig into one of their hot subs today!

I love Firehouse Subs but I came to the one in Vacaville and the staff cut my wife’s and my medium sandwich and such a diagonal angle that it was awkward to eat and both sandwiches were 60% sauce and very little meat and veggies. I’ve seen the manager here and he looks like a good man with a passion for this location and business but those sandwiches were not firehouse quality at all, to be honest subway would have made a better sandwich at that time.

So so. We end up eating here often because of proximity to work. About half the time the sandwich is soggy. If I was the only one choosing Id go somewhere else. The servings are large and I think thats why some people choose it.

I love these subs!! Wish there were more locations closer to home but manage to stop on my way to/from home when I travel. I also love that they do alot for the first responder community! Fave sando is the turkey, I get extra toasted bread and add bacon.. so yummy!
