The store was empty when I got there ordered a med hook and ladder and what seemed to take a very long time for a basic sandwich wasn’t worth it see pic below a very sorry excuse for a sandwich swimming in sauce soggy bread and everything to one side I was tempted to bring it back but didn’t want to deal with very congested area it was in.

I haven’t been here in a couple of years until today. Used to go here at least once a week for lunch. The food is always good, including today. What prompted me to write a review was the inexplicable wait time today. I arrived around 12:40. I stood in line for almost 10 min. My receipt said 12:49, and I received my food at 1:19. No kidding, 1/2 hr to make a sandwich. The problem seems to be too few people working and all of the online orders. I let the staff know how upsetting this is, to wait for 1/2hr for a sandwich, and they were polite, apologetic, and professional about it. However, at one point a grub-hub driver walked in and I heard one of the employees say “I just got your order so it will be a few minutes” and guess what, a few minutes later the grub hub driver was getting into his car and leaving with the order, so somehow they rationalized prioritizing that order over mine and all of the other patrons who were physically in the shop. So I guess from now on if I want a Firehouse sub from this location then I’ll order ahead. Or maybe the owner could hire a few more people. Who am I kidding—I’ll just go elsewhere.

I ordered my meal using the app and selected curbside pick up because I had my sleeping newborn in the car. Upon arrival, I did not see any curbside signs for pick up. So I called and Timothy answered and explained they technically don’t have curbside despite the apps option. However, he’d be happy to bring my order to me. I was so beyond grateful for his accommodation since I really couldn’t get out of the car to get my meal. He didn’t even ask further. I’m so appreciative for his kind service and willingness to help me at a moments notice. What a great guy and wonderful place! I’ll be back for lunch & go in to order to say hello!
