This is my first time here. I do not go to Springfield very often. When I do I like to try new places. I will not be going back to firehouse tho. I ordered the jerk. It was alright but not worth the cost. Way to much lettuce. So much lettuce takes way from the flavor. My son ordered the New York steamer and he loved it. My daughter ordered the Hook & Ladder and it was good other than to much lettuce again.

First time visiting a Firehouse Subs and it was delish! The food was yummy and the staff were super friendly. The restaurant itself appeared to be fairly clean and staff members were cleaning continuously while we were there.

I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich… I order that one mostly, but sometimes I’ll get the jerk turkey. I always get it to go, but I live far, so I don’t get to eat it hot unless nuked. But I ordered it today on my lunch break. I was able to have it hot, and my goodness! Why have I been waiting to eat it?! Lol

I rate a three because my experience was just below par. The staff seemed to tolerate the guests, so definitely could have been worse. The restaurant wasn’t the cleanest, just short of “clean” it could be I came in after a rush but doubtful. I will return again and if the experience is better I’ll definitely adjust the rating, if not then it will just solidify that it’s a 3/5

I’ve been here many times and I almost always order the New York steamer which is usually delicious with super tender meat. I’m extremely disappointed this time. I can barely eat this sandwich. The meat is super tough and what isn’t tough is just straight fat. One half of my sandwich didn’t even really have any meat on it just fat. I can’t express how i don’t want to eat fat on bread with cheese. Mymother ordered the same and while she had a bit more meat it was even tougher then mine. I’m just shocked this happened and they would serve something like this to anyone. I’ll also add the meat is usually really thin and soft and it wasn’t anything like that at all. The meat was folded over I noticed as well and the pickles were dried out which has never been the case before.
