Did an order ahead pick up. After picking it up and looking at the food, it was just thrown together and extremely messy. The turkey bacon ranch was DRENCHED with ranch. I asked for no tomato or onion on my club and there was tomato for sure, didn’t even look to see if there was onion since I am allergic to tomato. Brought it back in and asked for a new sandwich because I am allergic to tomatoes and I had them the sand-which, he picks off the tomatoes and hands it back to me right away and said here you go. I said no I need a whole new sandwich and there was attitude from the worker. The receipt clearly stated no tomato. We also did not get our pickle spears. While waiting for my new sandwich there was a friend/customer of the workers and they were just talking and lounging around. Will not be going to this location anymore.

I wanted to place an online order which never works to begin with, but my family wanted to order from there. Found out I could order through Eat Street and just pick it up my self. I go to pick up the sandwiches ,and there is nothing there. So I go to the ordering spot and finally someone comes over as I was being ignored. Then the girl that came to the register went back and brought out someone who says “we canceled your order, we don’t do Eat Street orders anymore”. You just cancel a $70 order and don’t tell anyone. On top of that there is a big placard on the front window that says order through Eat Street. I am done with this restaurant and the customer service was absolutely horrible on doing anything. Stay away from this place.

This was my first visit to a fire house sub restaurant. Didn’t know what to expect or how it might compare to other places. I have to say, I was a little disappointed not to have a choice of a roast beef sub which is my favorite. The small,medium and large choices were different but I went with medium and then mixed and matched with my buddy so we each had half of a different kind. Choices are limited but quality is good. Only white or wheat for bread.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had a food place. Only had 2 people working the whole restaurant during lunch rush. Sat there for over an hour for 2 sandwiches. Asked multiple times if they have an ETA on my food in which they said they will be done shortly. After 45 minutes was told they lost my ticket and hadn’t even started my order yet. Won’t be returning to this establishment anytime soon.

The food was good, however we walked in to 3 teeange boys working. The one at the cash register was reprimanding the kid making the subs for messing up someone’s order & continued to do so loudly & unprofessionally even though the woman repeatedly said it was fine & she just wanted it fixed. We waited significantly longer than we should have for our food. There were 2 orders ahead of us, 2 of the boys did absolutely NOTHING & watched the kid with the fire helmet make everyone’s food. After noticing we still didn’t have our food when he came out to fill his soda, instead of jumping in to help, one of the boys said to my husband that “he’s still working on it”. Seriously, someone give the kid with the helmet on that worked this afternoon a pay raise bc not only did he do a GREAT job under pressure but he also had to deal with worthless coworkers with extremely bad attitudes.

When placing an online order, paid for it and when we went to go pick it up they never received the order. The staff was not the nicest and just threw the subs together and were rather rude. I understand they we about to close. But I wanted what I paid for.

There is no Firehouse in Wausau. So, I have to travel almost 70 miles. However, it is a treat to eat here. Subs are awesome!!! Staff is very welcoming and from ordering to leaving with food, is very quick.

I’m staying at the motel behind Firehouse. I’ll be here at least 2 weeks for work. I LOVE subs, and was very excited to try this place. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes without being acknowledged by the 3 employees behind the counter. It’s fine. I made my own sub and it was delicious. They lost business for at least 6 or 7 meals. I have 4 more subs I made if anyone is interested. No wait, I’ll acknowledge your presence, and greet you with a smile!

Excellent service here. The food was quickly prepared and served. The dining area was very clean and employees quickly cleaned tables after someone would leave. Easy access of a main road and short distance from interstate. Plenty of parking for vehicles and even buses if needed. We will definitely be back here again!
