For a last mintue decision and quick bite it was not a bad choice. Not busy and nice dimmed restaurant. Restaurant itself was not loud given it was inside Ameristar on the 2nd floor. Ordered some wings and a burger and for the price and satisfaction it was not a bad decision.

Food was actually surprisingly good. The service is slow but I think it’s because they’re understaffed. The hosts and wait staff have to sprint to keep up with the amount of people.

Great restaurant in the Ameristar Casino. Had the 1/2 rack BBQ ribs and fries. Very good. Only downside is that the menu is very limited and the steakhouse restaurant was not open the night I was there. There needs to be more selections if only one restaurant is open.

We were celebrating a Birthday with a big party, and couldn’t get into Chophouse but Fireside Kitchen was great.

This is an extremely mediocre place for the price. The servers rush you, don’t even offer water, and drop the check in the middle of finishing your plate like a small town diner. The steak I ordered was tough and lacked any seasoning. My own saliva has more flavor than the steak did. I would recommend choosing any other dining option in Blackhawk.

Had to give a star to make this review, we were served food that made us both ill. Feel sorry for the poor employees who have to deal with the manager running this dive. Upscale Applebee’s look, crazy that a restaurant directly above a 5 star steakhouse can be so awful. I was challenged by the manager about my food complaint. ROTTEN LETTUCE served and mixed into a salad. They did remove it from the bill. However 2 meals, and a drink for each of us set us back $80

We’ve been coming up here for years. Not sure what happened, but this place went downhill. Rude servers. Tonight completely ruined our trip. Our waitress was running around in a hurry when it wasn’t even busy. We asked what they had for dessert, and the older woman with glasses and short blonde hair got very upset with us. After we decided on desert, she walked away as we were speaking then rudely turned around, threw her arms up into the air, then slammed her book onto her side, sighed sarcastically, and rolled her eyes. It was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I have never been treated by waitstaff like this in my life. She then loudly made a rude/passive aggressive comment about us to the next table. Unfortunately we have been going to this casino for over a decade but will never go back to this restaurant. It was unprofessional, uncalled for, aggressive, embarrassing, and ridiculous.

We had our kids, that being said, this is the only restaurant in the casino they can eat at. The other restaurants are past the security point where no kids are allowed. Now, 45 minute wait, we go in and over half the tables are empty. On our side 20 tables, 10 being used. When the food arrived it was cold. The prime rib was smoked but had no seasoning or crust to it. I had to pour a bunch of salt for flavor. The aus jus was cold too. We ordered the brussel sprouts for app, VERY DISSAPOINTING! First cold, but they are advertised as prosciutto but in reality it was a thick 1/4″ dried chunk of flavorless ham. I had to spit it out. I could barely chew it. The sprouts were very bitter. This should be removed from the menu they are that bad. Throw a rub on the prime rib prior to cooking. Kids had fries and yes, they were cold too. All and all I would eat at another hotel restaurant especially for the price and quality. In one of the pics the butter on one of the cold steaks is just sitting there not melting!

Fireside kitchen had almost no vegetarian friendly options (even most of the salads had meat), though the kitchen was okay with taking ingredients off of their menu items to accommodate.
