Best place at DCL. We go twice every year. Hand-crafted cocktails are made from syrups that you see them make right in front of you. Huge selection, changing drink menu. It’s amazing. Service is also second to none. Bartenders are incredible!

The ambiance is the only reason to come to this place. It is right on the water and quite lovely. The back patio is lined with outdoor heaters and at sunset it can be breathtaking. However, the food and drinks leave something to be desired. First, the cheese and meats plate is basically the ingredients you can get from your local Shop and Save. Second, our waitress didn’t even know how to open a bottle of wine. We needed to coach her through the process. Now, the waitress was young and everyone needs to learn, but you do not send a staff member to wait on a table without the basic knowledge of service. It wasn’t until I received my meal where I decided to write this review as I was deeply disappointed. I order the salmon BLT, but with a lettuce wrap instead of bread. What I got was just plain silly. It was a brick of overcooked, dry salmon, two stripes of tough bacon, on two very thin pieces of iceberg lettuce (see picture for reference). I don’t know who let this dish leave the kitchen in the state it was, but it was truly terrible. Again, this was suppose to come in a lettuce wrap, the lettuce they provided couldn’t even wrap around a piece of it. This space is great for a sunset drink(s), but anything more than that you are throwing your money away.

We have had a home on the lake for over 30 years and have always been frequent visitors to Brenda’s Pizza, Ace’s Run and Uno’s. It was hard to find a great cocktail place in Deep Creek Lake but they have hit a HOME RUN with this new place! The placement on the water is fantastic with the views and setting. But the service, the decor and modern vibe is unparalleled at the lake. There is nothing else like it, a modern swanky vibe with craft cocktails (and I am from DC so I mean a legit craft cocktail) with custom home made syrups, bartenders imagined favorites and great service. Its the only true cocktail lounge on the lake or in the area for that matter, so expect a crowd especially in high season during the thursday – saturday evenings. But the wait is worth it! We had a group of 5 and tried pretty much every cocktail on the menu. Our fav was May the Pisco be with you and The Garden Gnome. They were just as good as they looked! But they were all tasty for sure!

Excellent views on the water (though the outside chairs are a bit uncomfortable). Would recommend the patio furniture instead. Gluten-free menu options are available. The server was knowledgeable and very friendly! Burger was ok. Would return for the views.

Always a good time at Firewater. This is always the first place we go when we are in deep creek. One reason is because it is close to the house. Modern rustic vibes with cool craft cocktails and good food.

Cute spot right on the water accessible by land or lake. It is a smaller spot, so you may wait a bit to be seated if you have a large party. The smashburger was disappointing as it was a “normal” thickness instead of the thin, crispy-edged patty, and you cannot adjust the temperature (it’s served medium-well). Portions were generous, be sure to order the grits!
