When your stomach and mind are calling for seafood, head to Fish N Grill in Fredericksburg, Va. The location is great just off Courthouse Road. There is ample parking shared with other small businesses and a larger parking lot to the rear if needed. The staff is wonderful and very very accommodating. Now let’s talk food. You cannot go wrong with anything you order. The food is cooked with love. Whether you choose fried or grilled seafood, the taste and satisfaction is there. Some of my favorites are the Fried Croaker, Flounder, Shrimp, Oysters. The Cod is perfection! The clam chowder is simply delish. I often enjoy starting my meal with their steamed crab legs — very delightful. And if you’re not in the mood for seafood, their fried chicken packs a real punch. Someone’s grandma is definitely in the kitchen. Side dishes are also prepared with heart. My favorite is the potato salad, Mac n cheese and collards. Desserts are also top tier. Our service was awesome! Everyone we talked to was very cheerful, the atmosphere was clean and inviting. The music was not too loud and upbeat. We observed a bachelorette dinner grouping and in a separate room and a baby shower was taking place but none of it was loud enough to be distracting. Our portions were generous and worth the price. And even though it was quite busy, our waitstaff was very quick to make sure we were taken care of, even replacing a fork my husband dropped before we asked for another.

Wow! How did we not know about this place! Great service, clean lovely atmosphere, and spectacular food! The soul sauce has to be homemade, it’s dreamy! The onion rings were huge, the collard greens were a huge hit with my husband, and my kids loved their fried shrimp. The seasonal crab soup was so full of meat there was bearly any liquid!!! Exceptional! We will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for a homey, comfortable dining atmosphere and great food at amazing prices, this is the restaurant for you. The service was prompt, the waiting time was fairly quick, and the food was delicious! I recommend the crab cake burger and the grilled fish tacos. Every dish was fresh and plated nicely. Fish N’ Grill doesn’t look like much from the exterior, but it far exceeded my expectations. The decorations and atmosphere were cute and lively, too! I will be returning for sure!

It was the yams that did it for me. The fish and greens were good too. The service was fast. The environment was clean and inviting. It was very comfortable. The location was perfect for a travel stop. There is a liquor store, a dollar store, and several other businesses in the same plaza. We parked in one spot. We ate, shopped, and explored without having to get in and out of the car several times.,
