On 5/20/23 @ approx 5pm, I called to place an order for chicken chopsuey and a medium fried chicken. The Person taking the order was very rude. She said since I was requesting the vegetable in the chopsuey to be crunchy, that I was to come in the restaurant and place the order, so that I could wait, for the 1/2 hour while the chopsuey was being prepared. I asked her why was she yelling and she put the phone down prior to saying give me a minute. She then came back to the phone to say that the Chef said that I was to come in person to place the order and wait while the food was being prepared. The Customer Service was poor and the yelling didn’t help. I usually order from Fish and Ting, Mt. Vernon at least once per week and with this poor customer service will not be ordering from the location in a looooong time. CURRENT Staff needs training. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to this branch.

I pick up food here every two weeks. Love the fried whiting, stewed chicken, curry chicken and the salmon with rice and peas and cabbage Awesome staff! Everyone is always nice and pleasant.

I had a horrible experience at this place. I ordered a large mac and cheese with fried chicken. When I left l opened the container and saw the very small portion of food that was $14.00. I walked back in and had to ask if this was worth the $14.00 l’m not a person to do this but l had too seeing the very small amount of mac and cheese, “NEVER AGAIN” going to this place. Fish-n-thing in mount vernon can continue ripping off customers,it wouldn’t be me again!!!

I ordered the blackened salmon and rice and peas. The rice was AMAZING, very flavorful and tender. The fish was good but I would try another style, like jerk, next time. I would definitely come back if not for the rice alone. No gravy needed for the rice in my opinion. I also ordered ahead based on previous reviews.

I’ve ordered my food from this restaurant via Doordash. I must say I am satisfied with all of the menu items I purchased, which includes the following: jerk chicken, steamed cabbage, Mac and cheese, fried sweet plantains, fried white and, and yellow rice. Delicious! I don’t have to cook dinner for the next two nights. Yay! I highly recommend this local Jamaican spot. You will not be disappointed 🙂
