This was my first time here and let me tell you…I was not disappointed at all! It was a good portion and the flavor was very delicious. I tried the Red snapper, shrimp, and oysters. With a side of red beans and rice, macaroni salad, and some hush puppies. Everything was tasty and very fulfilling. I also bought some sockittome cake and I have to wait for room in my stomach but after eating the food I know it’s going to be delicious too. I will definitely be back and you guys should try it too.

First time for me. Ordered catfish, shrimp, collard greens, black beans and rice. Large portions and all well prepared. Coating was light with good seasoning allowing me to taste the fish. I will definitely return.

This was our first visit since the reopening 2 months ago. Our order was wrong. We ordered a pound of shrimp, snapper and a pound of catfish fried. When we got home, we had 2 lbs of catfish. The fish and shrimp were both over seasoned. The best thing in our order was the hushpuppies. We may try them again in a few months.

The fish (Filet of Sol), shrimp, oysters and hushpuppies were amazing! The red beans and rice were not flavored at all. $2.50 for a bottled drink is a bit steep as well. Be sure to ask about specials that may not be advertised on the menu. Overall, the food is really, really good.

Visiting on a work trip and went here on a whim looking originally for the deli next door. Market-style fresh fish case is first thing you see. Menu seemed limited at first, but the person at the counter made sure to ask how exactly I wanted my meal. For lunch, I ordered a salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp was perfectly prepared and delicious on a bed of baby greens, onions, tomatoes, peppers and onions. I got dressing on the side and never used it. It was one of the best, freshest tasting salads I’ve had. Gentleman customer I spoke with said he’s been there at least 20 times. Very simple place, but good.

My family and I were on the hunt for a quick but substantial bite before catching a flick right next door at Edward’s. We were not disappointed! We ordered the family meal of two different kinds of fish, shrimp and oysters plus two sides. There was plenty for all 4 of us and then some to take home. The fish and seafood were perfectly seasoned, and fried to my preferred crispness. I loved the collard greens and was pleasantly surprised that there was no meat whatsoever in them. We will definitely come back and tell people we know about this gem in our neck of the woods.

This was my first time here and I ordered takeout. I got the catfish dinner with greens and potato salad. The fish was very tasty and the greens were absolutely delicious. I’m not a huge fan of potato salad so it was okay. Very generous portions for a reasonable price $15. The service was great!!! I would definitely come back if I’m in the area.

I got the shrimp Po boy, fried tilapia, fried shrimp, fried oysters, red beans & rice & potato salad (shared it all with my boyfriend & had some left over ) it was all so good! I actually ended up getting the shrimp Po boy again the next day. Their fry seasoning is on point & the tartar sauce too, idk if it’s made in house but it’s really good! Then menu isn’t big so you won’t go wrong with anything. Also, I had saved half of my Po boy in the fridge to eat later in the day & it was still really good, the bread didn’t even get soggy. The wait time is long, like most fish fry places so if you’re impatient, call ahead.

HORRIBLE FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE..(out of towner driving home and wanted fried shrimp) Whoever the kid is working on the register needs to take life seriously. If this is “his first job.” He needs to take life and the job a little more seriously. I asked how much longer (as we waited 30 minutes). Would my food be done he shrugged his shoulders and laughed and said 15 minutes, I asked could he go back and ask and he said “its 15minutes” as he clearly showed he didnt care(very nonchalant). Very disgraceful customer service. I ended up just asking for my money back, in which he provided the incorrect amount of money and shorted me until i said something about the amount. I got nowhere when talking to the young man respectfully and professionally. The older lady in the back(who “just got off her break” and does the cooking) made excuses for the kid and said we “stormed out,” which was not the case because I had time to receive a refund and help the young man count my money back correctly. Very poor service. May need to invest in customer service training for all employees and understand the type of person you’re hiring when hiring. Time wasted. Wish i could tell you how the food was..
