Being this restaurant has been on one of Batavia’s back streets for 5 years, and we did not know about it, makes it’s name “Hideaway” valid. Finding this hidden little gem was a perfect way to spend our 30year wedding anniversary, eating delicious fresh food on the back patio. Highly recommend. And the owner serving us, with good conversation, was an added delight. Thank you for making our evening so lovely.

Went here for the first time and loved it!! It’s so cute and cozy, the staff were wonderful and helpful with our questions about the menu. Calamari was fantastic, as well as the stuffed flounder and the parmesan fish! We will definitely be returning! It’s nice to have a meal with realistic portion sizes too. I like being able to leave full but not have to take home leftovers, just the right amount of food.

Was pleasantly surprised on every detail including the back ground music , the food was fantastic and decently priced , our server was lovely , she answered any question we or other guest had and was quick about service as well , my only complaint would be the back room could use a little dimming it was a bit bright for a dinner that was as elegant as it was .

Excellent food. Not going to find fresher sea food in the county. They did a great job on the interior and it’s a very comfortable setting. We had the fish sandwich along with the scallops and both were amazing! Highly recommended if you’re looking for seafood without having to drive to the city or the coast.
