If I lived in Monticello, I’d eat at Five Loaves at the least once a week. The menu is diverse. The service is friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is comfortable and a little quirky. All and all we had a great experience.

Was in Monticello today and needed lunch, saw all of the good reviews. OMG!!! I got The California wrap. WOW!! Very yummy and LOVE avocado and the cucumbers on it. Got a brownie with peanut butter icing, can tell it’s homemade. You won’t be disappointed if you stop in! I will be back!! Thank you!!

Amazing sandwich shop. Great food and service. The only critique I have is that I assumed the Monte Cristo would be more sweet than savory. It’s done as a dry pressed sandwich, instead of a French toast style. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, and price is just right for the high level of quality. Definitely check them out.

We were passing through, on a road trip, and had purposely not eaten at any of the chain restaurants. We stopped here, because it was approximately 1/2 way home. Man was it worth it! We both got Cobb salads. Just look at the artistry on the plate. It was fresh and fantastic. And the price? $7.50 at the time of yhis posting. If you’re a local, you already know this place. If you’re just passing through… stop. You’ll be glad you did.

Great little sandwich shop. Easy parking in front. Nice outdoor seating area facing the downtown Square. We tried the chicken salad sandwich. So good, chunky and fresh. Huge portion. Also had sweet little cupcakes in the front case…perfect lunch.
