All these people ragging on the prices might do themselves a favor and arrive before 4 for the lunch specials. I think it’s 13.99 for a wide array of lunch dishes. I got the sezchuan twice cooked pork. I do hear what the other reviewers are saying about the saltiness of the dishes. Mine was absolutely soaked in oil to the point of excess but as most of the reviewers can attest, the flavor is strong.

Great food and comfortable seating. We ordered the braised short ribs, tea braised duck, and the appetizer sampler. Service could’ve been better/more attentive.

It is a small place (there is an upstairs also), comfortable, and clean. Nothing fancy. I asked for the General Gaus lunch special, the server stated there was no lunch specials today, it was a Monday so I thought it was odd, but ok. I ordered a full portion, white rice and scallion pancakes.

Really good dry pot! Tons of veggie options. $17 for a pound of dry pot – you get to choose exactly which veggies / proteins you want in your pot.

Good outing. The location and setting wasn’t on par with other restaurants, but the food was good. Try the fried pork buns for a really tasty snack. All of the food required extra salt and seasoning, but we prefer to have food with too little salt than too much. Prices are a tad steep for what you get. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, but we might try another outlet next time we are in the vicinity.

(4 1/2 stars) Really enjoyed our meal here. The pan fried pork buns were great! The steamed pork dumplings, king pao chicken, and beef with broccoli were all good. Pleasant and clean inside but you still get a bit of the old school feel. Fast service.

Dripping in oil, blunt food. I had to try to eat with sauce which was disgusting. Left half way feeling sick. AVOID

We had 6 people in our group and all but one of us got a lunch special, which is $12 and includes a cup of the soup of the day, white rice and a main of your choice. Our group tried the sesame chicken, beef with broccoli, general gau’s, and a hot and spicy chicken meal. I had the beef with broccoli and I can say that it was the best I’d had in a long time! Tender beef, delicious sauce and perfectly tender, fresh broccoli. The soup was egg drop soup, and I felt the flavor was spectacular but it wasn’t as brothy as I preferred. That said, my husband loved it a little thicker and finished my soup too! One person in our group got lo mein with chicken and he cleaned his plate! We felt that all the servings were generous portions for the price. For appetizers, we had also gotten spring rolls, crab Rangoon, fried pork dumplings and fried pork buns. ALL Delicious!! We recommend them all but especially the friend pork buns and the Rangoon. We will go out of our way to come to this place anytime we’re near Boston.

The staff wanted me to give more tips despite a not-too-superb service. They also charged 2$ more on my credit card than what I originally agreed on. Food is ok
