I can appreciate a pizza restaurant that stays open late enough, that when I get home from work I can depend on them. I ordered a sixteen inch ground beef pizza and pepperoni rolls. The rolls were nothing but amazing. The pizza on the other hand was quite the let down. Warm to the touch, so I had to heat it up so I could ingest the cheese. The ground beef was flavor less and burnt from the oven, and minimal sauce. Unfortunately, a ritz cracker with cheese wiz would have suited me better. I have not been this disappointed in a while. I haven’t lost complete faith, but hopefully something will happen so that the next customer is not dissatisfied and they recieve a better, flavor filled product unlike myself. Having been in the restaurant business for twenty years, I understand product cost and cutting down prices, but companies become successful because of the original flavor filled product they won their customers heart with in the beginning.

The thing I’ll say off the bat is that I liked how fast the pizza was delivered. that was probably the only thing I liked though. I used a 1 topping pizza coupon on an extra cheese pizza. What I got was… Excessive. I worked for dominos for 4 years, and extra always meant 1.5x the usual amount. I am not sure how they cheesed a pizza with like 4 pounds of cheese and sent it out with so much it spread and filled a corner of the box. The cheese also just didn’t taste good so it was overpowering. Even after cutting a bunch of it off the next day it was like twice as much as the crust. Just disappointed, and I know now that extra really means EXTRA at this place.

I’ve just been here once, but the service was friendly and really fast, and the pizza was delicious. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was, having ordered at 11:30 pm. It was ready in about 15 minutes, and the crust had a nice chew without being too crispy or too soft. The tomato sauce tastes pretty similar to Domino’s pizza sauce. There was a bit too much crust on this pie though.

I used to work at Five Star in Saint Augustine in 2016. And I’ve eaten at 6 different locations. The pizzas are made fresh daily. They shred the cheese fresh and make fresh dough every day. The ingredients are great quality and fresh daily. This makes for a wonderfully delicious pizza every time. I always get a chicken bacon ranch pizza. It is my favorite small no frills chain pizza place. They are always faster than they say, with both call in and delivery. If you show up about 10 minutes after ordering its usually rolling out of the oven. Same with delivery, it’s usually out the door in under 15 minutes from ordering. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. You cant get any better than fast delicious fresh pizza served up by friendly people at a reasonable price.
