We were disappointed coming in on a Saturday that they were out of most of the food items. That’s both good and bad. The Good is that they only buy fresh food and cook until it’s gone. The bad is if you come at the end of the week they are out of most of their items until they start again at the beginning of the next week. That being said, the owner was fantastic and when my wife asked about the chicken sandwich he said they were out but he would run right across the plaza to Walmart to get some chicken and cook it for her, that is not only great customer service but the sandwich she said was delicious.

I’ve lived here for 35 years and I can tell you this place is legit! The food, the atmosphere, the welcoming staff. It was all great. Very good prices and I don’t know if they have anything that isn’t good. I will be back…prob a LOT.

This food is so good!! Each time I’ve went out has been delicious. Will go again. The staff was very nice and attentive the time we ate there. I’ve also ordered pick up and that was quite quick. Addition: over now been here several times since the food is so good. I still have the same opinion. The food is delicious and the staff are great! This is one of my favorite places to eat in Murfreesboro due to it being home cooking. Absolutely nothing that my family or I have gotten has been bad. Everything we’ve ordered has been so very good and the people who work there so kind. Please visit this place to keep them open. You will not be disappointed!

Decided to give FKS Kitchen a try as I was on that side of Murfreesboro. It was a late lunch and the place only had one other customer in the place. This is a standard Meat & Three…decide on the meat and then you can opt for one, two, or three sides. I selected the fried chicken (breast & thigh), mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, dressing, cornbread, and a fountain drink. The chicken was very tender and had good flavor and the pieces were quite large. The sides were unimpressive with the mac & cheese being the best of the three, the dressing a bit salty, and the potatoes were bland. Service was good, the place is bright and very clean.

My husband and I had high hopes for this new restaurant. It kind of let us down. Only a quarter to half of the menu was available. They don’t have much “foot traffic yet” per the waitor, and that’s why the options were very limited. I suggest taking those options off the menu until they have enough patrons. We both had the pulled pork sandwich. It was good, wouldn’t say it was exceptional. The sandwich came with garden variety fries. The sandwich and fries were 7.99.. super cheap. We had great service. We will try this restaurant again but we will give it some time.

Great meat and three southern style food. The menu had family packs for take out. Lunch was really good, I’ll probably try a family pack one of these lazy nights. Prices are reasonable, I fed my 4 kids and myself for about $40. Tim the owner was working, he is really nice and turned on a TV show for my kids.
