We used to go there once or twice a month as you can eat well with a good bottle of wine at a good price point. They have a bar with an excellent services and a cute, romantic small sitting area available to dine without reservation. So best is to make a reservation in the main room but if a bar table is available, then we sit there. Food is good and well priced. The wine list has good selection at the lower end of the price list(Mark Ryan, De Lille, etc…). They have changed the menu over the years with some items staying there consistently ( like the stuffed dates). We do miss the truffle fries with were really good. The flank steak is a good well priced option. Lately, the restaurant hasn’t been attracting much people. It would be nice for them to refresh a bit the main room. In summer, it is great as they have a big terrace and the area, Gilman village is great. However, overall the setting both inside (main room) and out needs a refresh to create a better ambiance, atmosphere. It feels as if the leadership lost focus on this one and put everything on their other properties. Also, last time we came, there was only couple people in the restaurant and when we came without reservation at 7PM, they told us they were closing early due to lack of people.

Flat Iron is an excellent steak house. The food is great and service is fast and friendly. Every time I’ve eaten here my steak was done to perfection. It’s amazing how many restaurants can’t cook a medium rare steak, but these guys are experts. They have tasty drinks and guys desserts as well. Also good to know they have a separate room you can reserve for private events, it seats about 12 comfortably. The ambiance is casual and the aesthetic is kind of generic, but it’s still a nice place for a date. You can have an easy conversation as it is fairly quiet.

First time I visited this place was before the pandemic. The food were amazing and the price was reasonable. Ever since then I wanted to come back again. Finally I came back this time after so many years to have a birthday dinner for my mom. We ordered some appetizers, the New York center cut steak ($40), filet mignon ($48) and flatiron ($36). The waitress assured us that the filet mignon is the most tender (more like the most expensive). When the food came, all of the steaks were dry and hard while we ordered MEDIUM RARE, the least hard one was the flat iron but the flavor was just not right. Very disappointing. I know $40 for a steak is not going to get me anything fancy but I have had way better quality of steaks at the same price point. The appetizers were better than the entree, but still not good enough for me to come back again.

Great date night place. Good ambiance, good food, and good wine. They even helped with a custom cocktail when they didn’t have what I ordered (ginger beer mojito). The appetizers are very tasty! We ended up getting multiple flavorful appetizers rather than an entree.

Amazing steakhouse! Tough to choose between each amazing cut, but their ribeye was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Wait staff was excellent, especially Kenzie! Super helpful and friendly, knew the specials and helped my party decide on the best entree. Definitely a spot to check out!

Went here for a wedding rehearsal luncheon. Every single dish was delicious. For my entree I had the flat iron steak and asked for rare and it was cooked perfectly. Service was prompt and friendly.

The food here is awesome, and the service is even better. My partner and I ordered without reading super carefully and asked to make a big change after the fact due to a dietary restriction: they fixed it immediately and rescued the evening for us. We’ll be back for sure!
