Their cheesecake is so good!!!!! We had the Reeses cheesecake. It was so creamy and had so much flavor in it. Took me a whole week to finish this little cake. I think about this cake a lot when I’m craving cheesecakes.

I love this little place, their cheesecakes are SO good! I tried the key lime cheesecake and my sister got the pecan pie cheesecake and they were both incredible! They’re definitely large enough to split between 2-3 people and they’ve got a good selection of cheesecake flavors.

Tiramisu was good, but the original recipe calls for Kahlùa liqueur and this didn’t have any. Was a big let down, because that really makes a difference in the flavor. There were a few other cakes I want to try though, and I hope they’ll be there next time I visit!

Cute shop. Everything looks good. The prices are high, but Blowing Rock is a tourist area so it isn’t surprising. They have two gluten free options and unfortunately they were disappointing. The macarons were way over baked. I tried the strawberry and it tastes like they use strawberry extract not real strawberries. FYI macaroons are an American cookie and it’s a completely different cookie. The one’s they have are French Macarons. It’s an important difference.

Flavia’s would definitely rate 10 stars. This pastry business is located in a tiny cottage, think She Shed, on a small side street in downtown Blowing Rock. Everything was nicely labeled and priced but there were names I hadn’t heard before. Julie was very informative and kindly answered all of our, “Ooooh, what’s that?” questions. We were torn between a couple of items, so like any sensible person, we bought both. She told us to eat them at room temperature for best enjoyment. She said the “Crème” is homemade puff pastry with a thick layer of Mousseline Cream. That means they take their crème patisserie and then add silky butter. Is your mouth watering yet? We each got a Crème and a Cream Puff. We ate the Crème first and sweet mother of all things delicious, it was otherworldly. We immediately prayed that the Puff would have the same filling. It did. When we go back next year, I’ll be getting a treat for everyday we are there.

This Is a Destination in Blowing Rock, NC and probably the best and most unique desserts and pastries you will have in your life – all hand made. We couldn’t decide so we bought an assortment and came back to get more right after. The cremes is incredible – we bought like 6 pieces and all of the other things are outstanding as well!

Stopped here while walking around window shopping. Just stopped in this town at random as part of a road trip and stumbled into this place.

Excellent desserts. Big portions so be ready to share. Prices are very reasonable given the quality and large portions.
