At the time, the months-old restaurant – the first for Owner/Chef Abhay Thapar – was small, seating only 49. But business quickly flourished. The space soon became “way too congested” explained Thapar, so he expanded into the adjacent storefront in the small strip mall downtown. Today, Flavors spaciously accommodates up to 88 diners. Most Indian restaurants offer Northern Indian cuisine featuring flavorful curry sauces for meats, poultry, seafood or vegetables; served with breads like naan, a soft flatbread baked in a tandoor clay oven. Southern Indian cuisine is spicier and traditionally served with rice and lentils.

We got take out and we’re surprised at the prices. The lunch special says chicken tikka masala with naan was $15.99 however we were charged $18.99 for the chicken tikka plus additional 5.5 for the garlic naan. I understand upcharges but they should be up front.

The name is Flavors but the food had anything but that. 4.1 rating?? Highly misguiding. We had been here for some snacks and got samosas, chicken pakoda and tea. The samosas had a blob of boiled potatoes filled, no taste or seasoning, the dough was raw, not fried enough. The chicken pakoda was not what we expected. It was dipped and fried in a yellow gram flour batter containing ajwain. No salt and the chicken was rubbery. Seemed old. The tea was just hot water with some color from the tea leaves!!
