Started with 4 different appetizers, Seafood Eggrolls, Spinach Dip, Hot Ranch Wings and the Gumbo. All were exceptional. Hot and made fresh. Main meals, Fried Chicken Breast, Seafood Platter, Braised Turkey Wing and Fried Catfish. All delicious and seasoned just right. Mac ‘n cheese creamy, sweet potatoes were on point. Would definitely recommend for any occasion. Service was great! Very kind and friendly. You will not be disappointed.

Can I give this place 10 stars? After being disappointed by restaurants claiming to serve southern or soul food dishes, we decided to try this hidden gem! I found my new favorite cafe!! No photos of the food that we gobbled down after tasting the 1st bite. I order the fried chicken dinner with fried okra (done the right way) and the most delicious collard greens. My friend ordered the fried catfish with sweet potato fries. Oh, and we also got the peach and mango cobbler for dessert which is so delicious, it should be illegal!!

I wanted to love this place. The restaurant and placing orders to go are in 2 separate sides. Kind of like 2 different building’s so to speak. Should you so happen to be in the wrong place (order wise) they will happily direct you to and out the door to the right side!

Me and my wife went too FlavorTown lastnight and soon as we came in the door the vibe was great. When we told the server this was our first time she said “Welcome Home” and I knew we came to the right place. First we ordered seafood spring rolls and creole dipping sauce that so so good. My main dish was mac n’ cheese, hennessy yams, collard greens, and the fried chicken which is the #1 seller. My wife main dish was about the same mac n’ cheese, hennessy yams, collard greens, and catfish. Omg the food was off the chain good. It was date night for us so we tried the drinks and even they were on point . Can’t wait to come back and try the brunch and the sweet potato pecan pie . No matter your coming for brunch, lunch, or dinner be prepared and bring your appetite you will not regret it

We were excited to try this place and it wasn’t far from where we lived. We came in and waited for a while to be seated and there was barely anyone in there. Once getting seated it took a while for the waitress to come and ask for our drink orders. She seemed as if she didn’t want to be there. We finally got our drinks and she walks away without even asking if we were ready to order. So we waited a while before she came back and ask if we knew what we wanted. We placed our order and I got pasta. The flavor was lacking. It was so bland. It was barely taste to it at all. We also ordered the seafood egg rolls and it just tasted like a bunch of cheese. So that wasn’t great either. The waitress barely came by. We never got refills. When she did come she partially listened. One person at the table asked for something and I also was saying (trying to) what I needed but she didn’t hear me because she was quick to exit. This happened multiple times to where she had to keep coming back because she didn’t stay long enough to find out what each of us needed. Not a great customer service experience. Then the music was at a decent volume when we first walked in to where all of us at the table we able to hear each other just fine. All of a sudden the music got turned up so loud we were damn near yelling at each other for conversation. I seen so many good reviews but our experience was not great or even mediocre it was bad.

We had the turkey wings, snapper 2lb, collards, Mac n cheese, yams, potato salad, and gumbo. For dessert, we had the cobbler. I had 3 Hennessey mimosas and a red sangria.

The oxtails rolls and the sauce were very good, but were lukewarm. The strawberry lemonade is very good ($2.50 no refills), but the shot of Hennessy was pricey @ $14.50! Chicken and waffles and yams were good, but the hashbrowns were not technically hashbrowns. They were chunks of potatoes that didn’t really have a flavor and were lukewarm as well. They were more like breakfast potatoes. Restaurant was not busy at 11am Sunday morning, so definitely the best time to go. They were out of the red snapper.

We had dinner here and we loved our meals. The decor was a whole mood, nice music and good food. I got the red snapper. It was perfectly fried for me. The staff was great. The peach cobbler was delicious! Will definitely come back to try other dishes.
